I'd heard about Peter Chang's restaurants for several years and finally got a chance to try one. There were four of us in our party and we shared three appetizers - scallion puff pancake, tofu salad, and duck cigar - and four entrees - peking duck (for some reason they classify it as an appetizer), black pepper mushroom stew, green beans, and eggplant. Everything was superb, as was the service, which was pretty quick as well. We'll definitely go back.

This is the best Chinese food we have ever had. Every dish we had ,is unique and flavorful. This really is a flagship restaurant which means it is the leader. The Q does not exactly follow a chinese food style as much as reinvents it. The is a causal place with fine dining.

The chef at this famed restaurant never disappoints! We have been here 3-4 times, and can heartily recommend the Mixed Dim Sum platter, and the Tofu Skin salad.
These were offered at lunchtime. The gourmet ingredients of the salad satisfied our taste for northern Chinese cuisine. The dim sum is a nice sampling for Americans and very authentically prepared. We will be back!

We visited the restaurant with some friends we had not seen for several months. Our waiter, Steven, was excellent! He was present, but unobtrusive. The water glasses were filled before asking, and he made excellent suggestions for appetizers and entrees. Every course we received a clean plate, so as not to mix the interesting flavors.
The restaurant was well appointed and had a Chinese dragon on the ceiling for interest. The menu was diverse with several interesting dishes, allowing for a variety of culinary tastes. We had the puffed scallion bubble pancake with a side sauce, which was very tasty. We also had the Crispy Skirt Shrimp Dumplings and the Hot and Numbing Sichuan Beef Burrito. Both were delicious with their accompanying sauces. The entrees included the Dragon Eggplant with Spicy Garlic. I am not an eggplant fan, but this dish was amazing, as well as beautiful. We had a shredded beef with black bean sauce, also delicious. The two weakest dishes were the buddha style tofu (not the mapo tofu) and the salted water duck. The duck was bland, and the tofu was tasteless. We finished the meal with two Creamy Egg Yolk Baked Buns which were interesting and delicious, sort of like donuts.
The outside of the restaurant is covered with scaffolding due to some issues with the windows in the building above.
We loved the restaurant, and will definitely be back! Make sure you ask for Steven as he helped make our meal great.

Really enjoyed the gin cocktail called the Bethesdan, light and refreshing. Scallion bubble pancake tasty, pork dumpling tasty but served barely lukewarm and clearly not cooked to order, sauces very good. Loved the Chinese squash with scallops, a summer special. It's mild so if you are looking or something highly spiced or with some heat, choose something else. Bean curd cake with tofu was outstanding, not something I ordered but had a taste from someone in my group. I would definitely order it next time. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Good service. Easy parking in a public garage one block away, free on weekends. Only glitch was that one of our 4 entrees came out from the kitchen much later than the other 3, not a big deal but a little awkward
