This is a fantastic, hidden gem! The wine list, both by the glass and bottle, is extensive and well priced. The menu offers a lovely array as tapas. Pairings is in the process of expanding, and I am very much looking forward to enjoying a meal there!

This was our second time to the Pairing Bistro and it was even better than the first. They recently opened a new, roomier dining room, which to us was a lot more comfortable than in the original section (which is still there). The food was terrific. We both did the Prixe Fixe 5 and ordered different main entrees and shared. Each dish was excellent. The chef out did himself. I cannot recommend this Restuarant enough, but be sure to make reservations it gets crowded.

This is a tiny hole-in-the-wall in the middle of a strip mall, but it has great ambiance, food and wine! The food is always interesting, often locally grown or produced, and the wine parings are spot on. Don't miss the cream of crab, which is not only delicious, but the presentation is delightful - it arrives with a spoon holding a large lump of backfin crab meat, and a tiny bottle of sherry to float on top. Their wines are half price during Happy Hour, and they offer occasional cooking classes and other presentations. Not a place for a big crowd (there are about 10 tables) but wonderful for a quiet dinner for two.

Fortunately this restaurant is expanding, because it’s probably the best high-end dining experience in Harford County. There’s not a bad dish on the menu, and each dish, whether an app, entre, or dessert, has a great wine suggestion to pair with it (I had to laugh when I noticed even the kid’s menu items had “2012 Sierra Mist” listed next to those offerings). There are even good beers as well. You can save a couple of bucks by going with the prix fixed offerings.

Pairings is our favorite restaurant for a quiet, romantic dinner for two or an intimate get together with friends. My husband and I try to eat locally raised food as much as possible, and Pairings does a wonderful job of providing a good selection of such foods prepared in delicious and delightful ways. Their wine selection has matured over the years and we really enjoy ordering their seasonal prix fixe dinners with wine pairings. Service is sometimes slow, but we love the atmosphere and relaxing mood there so much that we seldom mind.
