Stayed at the old reliable York Harbor Inn a few times and always love the location, close to the beach, lighthouse and just a couple hours away from the Boston airport.
They have a nice restaurant and bar at the inn.

We visited the York Harbor Inn on a business trip and found the property to be well maintained for its age. Although the wireless internet was not the best in the room, the common area in which we stayed offered fasters download speeds and a comfortable and quiet area to work and surf the internet. The hotel has one of the best restaurants in York located on the property and the Neddle Lighthouse is up the road only a few miles. Directly across the street is Hartley Mason Park, which borders York Harbor Beach. The beach area is locally known as Mother's Beach because it is perfect for toddlers. The park has plenty of shade trees and benches along with intesting bronze figures attached to some of the local rocks. The oceanside rooms had a great view, excellent privacy, and the value was amazing. Go to their website for their internet specials that sometimes run at less than $ 100.00 per night.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms in a detached Yorkshire House that overlooks Hartley Mason Park as well the...

Stayed this weekend on the same date we stayed 26 years ago. We had very fond memories of this Inn, and were not disappointed on our return. The place has been expanded and updated, but still retains the same charm we remembered. The service in the bar and restaurant were impeccable, and the food first rate (we dined both nights in the main restaurant). The view from the dining room, and our room in a separate building was fabulous (water view). I highly recommend this Inn. We will be returning again soon (not 26 years from now). The continental breakfast (free) was also very good. The attendant was also very helpful. Thanks York Harbor Inn for a great weekend.

Room Tip: We were in room 406 - a second floor corner room - FABULOUS view.

We loved our one-night stay at the Inn! We spent most of the evening in the pub downstairs, which delicious homemade potato chips with a garlic dip and fantastic pizza. The live music was charming, but I could see that being tiresome depending on your day. We spent the day on the shoreline cliffwalk across the road and were appreciative of local-yocal chatter and easy listening. The room was TINY but cute and clean. The maid even found my husbands cell phone and ran out to catch us in the parking lot to return it to him. Breakfast was delicious, much better than a typical complimentary continental buffet. Would definitely return.

I attended a holiday party in the function room and stayed over in the Inn. The Christmas decor was beautiful! The food at the party was delicious. It's the second year I have attended a holiday party here, and the food did not disappoint. I think my favorite part of the buffet was the carving station with the most tender beef I have ever had. My other favorite was the cilantro chicken...mmmm! Passed hors d'oeuvres included scallops wrapped with bacon, crabcakes, stuffed mushrooms, beef wellington, and probably others I have forgotten. There was a bountiful fresh fruit and cheese platter on which the fruit was perfectly ripe. It was a party for all ages so kid friendly food was served as well - tasty chicken tenders and pork sliders. In the morning we stopped for the continental breakfast served downstairs in the main bar with the big fireplace. It was worth stopping - we enjoyed fresh fruit, apple crumb cake, tea, juice, and coffee. Toast, bagels, and other pastries were also offered. It was so pretty in the room with large paned windows looking out on the harbor and a fresh white snowfall.

Our room was very charming although small. Everything was fresh and spotlessly clean. The chair upholstery and the furniture looked new. We had a good sized flat screen TV that received many channels. This was one of the rooms right inside the main inn...in fact it's one pictured on the website, where it looks bigger in the website than it is. We were staying only one night so we didn't need storage. For one night, the size wasn't a concern, but you may want to inquire about the size of your room when booking. I will say that the heating system and the bathroom fan were somewhat noisy, but all the positives outweighed these negatives for me.

I have eaten downstairs in the ship-shaped bar/luncheon area a number of times, and the lunch menu has always been tasty and reasonably priced.

You can book here with confidence. The staff is friendly, the inn is spotless and beautifully appointed, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. It's small enough to be charming, but large enough so that it's private for a special getaway. I'm looking forward to returning!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask when booking about the size of your room to ensure you have the size you need.
