“Fresh! Fast! Value!”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

It's cafeteria seating, crowded & noisy, and the menu prices seem high. Step back and take a good look at your choices before ordering. Don't order that $25 lobster sandwich - you'll just be annoyed at yourself for trying to savor lobster amidst such craziness. The clam chowder is perfect & the Pilgrim sandwich is large enough to share. The panini sandwiches are excellent and the generous desserts are just plain fun. Get a couple of things, enjoy, get something else if you're still hungry. It's fast, informal and, best of all, you can go back to the store shelves after you've eaten and buy the ingredients to make the stuff at home. Wish I could run back to Maine tomorrow for another lunch at Stonewall's!

“Crowded, but good food!”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Okay, so it was a long weekend in the fall-- I should have expected the long line at the cafe. Honesly... our food was ready before we reached the end of the line to pay. The lobster tacos were yummy; my husband enjoyed his "Pilgrim" sandwich and while my 10 year old was upset that they had run out of the daily tomato soup and three cheese panini special, he enjoyed the grilled cheese. I had the sweet potato fries-- while plentiful, were on the cold side. There were so many yummy choices, that I could return often if it weren't for the pricey cost of lunch. Then again, I didn't expect this to be any run-of-the-mill lunch choice. $10 for lobster tacos seems about right. Next time, I'll pick an off day to come up for lunch.

“Good food, great shopping”
Reviewed September 20, 2012 via mobile

Have shopped at Stonewall Kitchen for years and just this week tried their cafe for the first time. My lobster tacos were delicious and my grandmother enjoyed her BLT. She says it is one of the best BLTs she's had! The cafe prices are a little steep but it is a time saver if you plan to shop for their kitchen goodies around lunchtime. Also, would be a nice alternative to fast food if you are traveling North on I-95, as it is directly across from the exit/ entrance ramps.

“Roadside refuge”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

We have stopped at Stonewall 20+ times since it opened. First it was just to avoid the ME turnpike rest stop, find a clean bathroom and to sample the jams and sauces. Then we began to get a sandwich there too. It is not cheap. Any day during the summer it is likely to be very crowded, but the sandwiches and soup are good. Some are more tasty than others (roast beef is bland, but tender. Chilli is yummy). All are better than turnpike fare. I am sure whoopie pies are great for dessert, but we browse the jams and get a sweet taste or two - finishing with the chocolate sauce! (Oh, we usually buy some too.)
