The bride and I were on the beach in York. Weird day....very foggy... Surreal like a Stephen King novel... bodies moving in the haze. Unless you have very deep pockets or are inclined to throw your molah away, eat on the beach. Fish and chips...$19.95. Better be gold plated.
We left, headed back to Kittery on Rt 1. We stopped at Fisherman's Dock for lunch. As clean as the fish and other seafood Is fresh. The gentleman who owns it is also the provider along with his family. Caught, cleaned and prepared within hours. I had the fish tacos, $ 8.95 special and they were better then Rubio's fish tacos in SoCal. The bride had the fish Reuben which was absolutely superb. We will definitely be back...oh, and they are open in the winter too. Please stop, you will not be disappointed...guaranteed !

We found this place under the top 20 restaurants on Tripadvisor. We drove there expecting something close to the water. It is land based.

This is a fish market as well as a restaurant. There is outdoor seating if you like the view of a major road into and out of town.

We ordered the combination plate with haddock, clams, oysters, scallops, and shrimp. There was only one piece of Haddock. The oysters and clams were fried together and they were stuck together. They looked like sperm cells. The clams were over cooked and very tough. There was about six very small shrimp on the platter. I think I found one scallop on the whole platter. The side order of slaw was a very small cup (Styrofoam), not the amount you would expect for a platter.

We ordered a cup of Clam chowder and at best it was average.

The service was provided by young adults and they conveyed the attitude that they didn't care and didn't want to be there. The one order taker sat down and started eating a meal and reading a book while we were there. The man in the fish market had to service us our refills on drinks after we went to the window to ask for them.

I don't understand these people who reviewed this place as having great service, since it seemed self service to me. If ever in the area again we will not be going to the dock.

Average is the best way to describe this restaurant. Order at the window and take your meal to the pavilion to eat. No salt&pepper, ketchup or any other accompaniments in the pavilion. Need to walk back to the main building. Not a big deal but inconvenient for sure. Fish and chips were good chowder was average not great. Steamers were huge. Not my favorite size.

Its located right on Rt.1, has inside seating and a pavilion for outside dining. I loved the breading on the fried haddock. They give large portions at a very fair price.

We love Fisherman's Dock! The food is always fresh and delicious while moderately priced! I highly recommend making them your first lobster stop on Route 1.
