Good menu, good food, family-friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Great location with ocean view. Reasonable prices. These people clearly care about their work, and their customers.

“The PLace for Breakfast and more”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We always drive all night from Pa so we can be there in the am when they open for the Lobster benedict they serve. Just fresh food, properly prepared and the view is outstanding. Great service and friendly folks.

“Curtailed to tourists”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

The dining room was ok. There is an obvious slant in part of the room where you feel your body leaning towards one side of the chair, liquid rushed to one side of the plate and the building was in need of updating and/or basic fixing of the roof, but was over all ok. Service was not so good at first. Not too friendly, but warmed up after awhile. Mainly warmed up after I requested new utensils, because mine had chunks of dried food on them along with a plate that was not exactly up to par. The drinks were good......small, but good. Prices on drinks and food were definitely curtailed to tourists. My husband had the broiled seafood, which was good. Very well prepared. Not over cooked. The sweet potato fries were very good. The chowder was very thick, which was a good sign. The brothe was not as smooth as one would expect. A little lumpy like cottage cheese. While it tasted good, we were shocked at the overwhelming taste of cheese coming from it. There may or may not have been cheese in there, but it certainly tasted like it. The clams were a little too rubbery. The stuffing on the lobster was PLENTIFUL!! Tons of stuffing, which was a good thing, but the taste of the stuffing lacked taste. There were chunks of shrimp, which was a pleasant surprise, but it didn't outweigh the lack of taste overall in the stuffing. The lobster was good. Perfectly cooked! The corn on the cobs were over cooked. The rolls were nice and warm and tasted good. The rice pilaf was good as well. While we would not order the chowder, again, or anything that contained the stuffing, the rest of the items were good where we would go back, again, to try other things. I just won't order an alcoholic beverage. Too small for the price.

“Great food, better view.”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

The Lobster Cove is a great spot on Long Sands for food anytime of the day. Some of the hotels along the long sands strip give discount coupons for the Lobster Cove's breakfast and they dont disappoint. Dinner menu has a good variety and upstairs there is a small bar and a big room with a great overlook of the ocean. Outdoor seating as well.

I think Breakfast is the way to go if you're eating here but every meal I have had in the joint has been great!

“Average everything, except the view”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Average food, mediocre at best. The service is inconsistent. Not as bad as the 123, often poor, never great. The prices are not outrageous. The three things going for it are the view, the location in a part of York beach that has few other restaurants, and that it is open all winter.
