Yup, 3 times now so it must be OK. We had a 2 bedroom suite with plenty of room for 5 people. Refrigerator was just the right size, bigger than a dorm fridge. They had all silverware, plates and pans there too. Pool was great, temp was perfect. We love the grills they have, they're huge and there's 4 of them. We checked out other hotels in that area and they were all priced higher and included the same or less and they were all just as old looking. Like I said in previous posts, it's not the Ritz but it's a great place for kids and it's comfortable too. The only problem we had was the drain flies, those tiny flies around the tub drain but other than that I give it 4 solid stars.
The sign out front with the price is only for the smallest room..ie: starting @ prices
The A/C worked great since it was really hot out and the TV was just the right size, hey it's a hotel, not home. Gretchen was wonderful as usual, THANKS to all for a great vacation.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR ...maybe b4 then as well

Room Tip: Always chose the bottom floor, the view is not blocked by the railing

Do not stay at the Majestic Regency if you need a luxurious hotel experience. Staying here is like staying at a family summer cabin. It's a little damp, a little run down, and definitely dated. However, we arrived with low expectations and had a wonderful time. So much so that we ended up staying an extra night!

Pros:
Excellent location. You're very close to Ogunquit and Wells beaches without being stuck in the middle of town. The trolley runs right through the parking lot and is a fun and super convenient way to get to the beach/town and avoid paying for parking. There's also an amazing seafood shack within walking distance (Jake's). It's the only place we ate!

Relatively cheap. During high season they want over 100$ a night which is WAY TOO MUCH for this place. Anything under that (we paid 85-90) is more realistic for the quality you get here.

Breakfast. Seriously I would come back here just for the free fritters and donuts from nearby Congdon's. Best donuts and cinnamon buns I ever had. The coffee is terrible but the donuts, oh my god the donuts!

It's super laid back and they don't bug you. When we checked out we left our car there for the day and took the trolley to the beach. No one seemed to notice or care.

Pool is clean and there are plenty of chairs and umbrella tables. Yeah they're a little run down, but they worked just fine for us.

Cons:
It's a little shabby. The first room we stayed in had a king sized bed and unfortunately the sheets didn't really fit it. The corners kept popping off which was really annoying. Also they didn't have a king sized mattress pad so they used a double and a single which kept getting bunched up. Bed was old and uncomfortable and the bedspread was a little gnarly. Also (we found this hilarious) the bed frame was being held up by a metal chewing tobacco tin under one of the legs. What the what?

The TVs are small and kinda sucky by most people's standards. However, we don't have TV at all at home so it was fine with us. Don't expect a flat screen here though.

Decor was definitely about 30 years old and not too classy even when it was new, I'm guessing. Door was a bit flimsy and difficult to lock, but I didn't feel unsafe here.

Pretty much zero amenities. No shampoo or conditioner, the coffee was ultra generic and there wasn't any sort of information packet in the room... Nothing to tell you the place's policies or info on the trolley or restaurants. Not a huge deal, but a little surprising. Cell service was spotty and you can only get wifi if you're REALLY close to the office.

Overall though, we loved coming here and would definitely go back. It's a great place for people who want to spend most of their time at the beach and just need a clean place to shower and sleep.

When we pulled up to this place, the sign out front showed vacancies and $85 or $89 per night. We had booked thru Expedia and the rate was $183 for a night. I went in and asked why the difference and she said it was because Expedia charges 25% on top of their rate. I asked about the other $70-75 difference. First off, this is an old looking MOTEL and some rooms had a smoking option which means they have probably all been smoked in at one time or another. I immediately called Expedia and and got this cancelled and 100% refund and found a cheaper B&B that was nicer and closer to the ocean. Please do your research and find a better place in Ogunquit. We ended up at B3 (Bourne B&B) and they were fabulous.

The employees at the desk, in the breakfast building, maintenance, and the housekeepers are all very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Just a short walk, or drive, to the beaches and restaurants. If you don't feel like driving, you can ride the blue or red trolley to Olgonquit or Kennebunk.

The bed was comfortable. The room could use some updating. New furniture, tv, etc.
Our sliding screen door fell off when we opened the door, but they were very quick to fix it for us.

There is a tennis court, swimming pool, basketball hoop, and bbq grills. We did not use them but the people who did looked as though they were having a very fun time.

I will definately come again.

We stayed at the Majestic for our fourth time last weekend and had a nice stay. The rooms are dated but they are just like most of the older motels in the Wells area. The trolly runs through the property and that was a nice feature. You can get on the trolly and not have to worry about where you are going to park your car and go to most of the area attractions. One thing I didn't like was the pillows on the bed were flat so I'd say to bring your own pillows if you are going. The property is very large and it's a good place to bring the kids. They have plenty of room to run around. There is grills for cookouts, a nice pool and a tennis court. They have recently added a fire pit so you can toast marshmellows and make s'mores (you have to bring your own firewood). I read other reviews and a lot of people put this place down, I didn't think it was that bad. I'd rather stay in the off season though because of the cheaper rates. They also serve a contenental breakfast and serve Congdon Doughnuts which are really good.

We just checked in for our 4-night stay, and there's a reason for the first sign you see as you enter the office to check in. It states "We're sorry, but we DO NOT refund for early departures under any circumstance." Translate that to mean "Don't even try. We've heard EVERY possible story from people that just MUST leave for some reason." We're guessing that upon entering their room, most people begin the agonizing task of fabricating a story of why they suddenly have been called to some emergency somewhere else...ANYWHERE else. How bad is it? We're considering moving to any one of the other places with a vacancy and pay the additional cost, which looks like it could be $1,000! Or, we've even talked about sleeping in the back of our car. Please, take heed. You'll thank every one of these reviewers that paid the price before you.

Hair on the "sanitized" toilet, hairs on the sheets, and an overwhelming musty cleaner smell. Was ready to check out as soon as I entered the room. My advice spend the extra money
And go with a decent place!
