“Beach at low tide”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

The Wells Beach has a lot of big bolders which add character... When there is low tide you can walk out to many of the rocks, but once the tide comes in, the water covers much of the area ....runs right up to the sea wall.... There is a difference between the Ogunquit Beach and Wells Beach, even though they are so close to each other.... It's strange to see the difference... Wells have more rocks, boulders and seaweed, whereas Ogunquit is has pristeen sand. Both beaches provide a nice walking area along the ocean.

“Walk for Miles”

Title says it all. Great expanse of beach and a pleasant walking experience, whether heading north toward Kennebunk or south toward Ogunquit

Off season: fantastic. At low tide, incredible walks. At high tide, beautiful scenery. Nice and useful amenities (restaurants and stores)

“Relax and enjoy natures beauty”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Wells Beach is at the end of Atlantic Ave. To get to Atlantic Ave go down Mile Road to the end and turn left. After Labor Day there is no fee to park.Ogunquit beaches charge a fee to park. To get to the beach there is a path and as you get near there is a board walk part of the way.The beach is clean and the sand is sugar fine. There is a jetty and fishermen and sunbathers share it.The day we were there Setember 15, 2012 the Monarch butterfly apparently were on their migration to their home in Mexico. They were flying over the sand and in and out of the beachgowers.A beautiful sight.Everyone was friendly and enjoying the last days of summer.Great place for families.

“A Day at the Beach”

This beach is wonderful in the early morning watching the waves come in. It can get crowded close to the free parking.but if you dont mind walking you can park out a ways and walk.
