Delicious. Steamed clams excellent - no sand in them. Monkfish nuggets and fish chowder also excellent. Attentive and mostly informed service - not terribly knowledgeable of their superb selection of beer and wine. Went with a fairly fussy retired chef and she was content!

We stopped for a quick lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Many non-fried options for options although I selected the fried oyster roll. It was superb.

We had heard good things about this new place, so we gave it a try. What a disappointment! We sat outside, but the shared picnic tables were quite uncomfortable. For these prices, one should expect a proper table and chair.

We ordered the seafood baskets at $18 a piece at lunch. That was a mistake. The food was very oily and heavy, without much flavor. We all felt quite ill after eating some of it.

You would be much better off going to the Thomaston Cafe, or over to Rockland where there are many good restaurants that are a much better value

I used to eat regularly at the Dip Net in Port Clyde until Linda Bean took it over, so I'm thrilled Scott Yakovenko is back in the area! The menu at Slipway is pretty similar. The emphasis is on fresh ingredients, freshly prepared. YUM! I especially love the lunch specials--a nice piece of grilled fish on a salad is perfect. And there's nothing better than having a nice lunch on a picnic table with a fresh breeze blowing off the water on a hot summer afternoon.

on the face of it, the food that arrives at your table looks fresh and tasty. but our three meals were devoid of any seasoning - when you have to lemon and salt/ketchup your food to get anything from it, someone isn't cooking all that great in the kitchen. and for that, the prices are on the high side. coleslaw, at 2 bucks a pop extra, comprises about 2 tablespoons of minced slaw mix with no flavor - served in a plastic "to-go" cup. when I spend two dollars for cabbage, I want it to have a dressing... and a proper bowl. our waitress was lovely, but in her youthful, modern "speak", she continually said "no problem" and "no problem at all" when thanked for things. um... it shouldn't be a "problem" when you are in a service position and your employer should train you to say the courteous phrase "your welcome". another disappointing offering from a dazzling but seemingly doomed location. I am a local, and I won't be back.
