This is a 4 acre park with picnic tables, an enclosed picnic area and an occasional use concession stand.
It is part of the Frenchmans Bay Conservancy. There is music on Monday nights during the summer and other events, usually money raising affairs, during the year. The park is located at a narrows where the freshwater outflow from Taunton Bay meets the saltwater inflow from Frenchmans Bay. Which current "wins" is dependent on the tides: at high tide the flow from Frenchmans Bay dominates. At low tide the outflow from Taunton Bay dominates. The change in flows can be fascinating. This is also an excellent area for wildlife. Common eiders, osprey and seals are routine visitors. An abandoned lobster pound is on the edge of the tidal pool.
