My girlfriend and her daughter went up in early May and fell in love with the place. She booked a room from 10/10 -1014. Unfortunately I had to come home and am now writing this. When we arrived, Dave and Vickie came out to greet us and gave us a very warm welcome. Then we were greeted by the true owner 'Speedbump' the lovable cat. We were in a room on the 2nd floor, with a beautiful view of the water. We love the location, you're 5 mins from Bass Harbor, 10 mins from Southwest Harbor and 30 Mins from Bar Harbor. It is a great place for all those that don't want to deal with the crowds and crazy traffic. The rooms were very clean. Our shower had good water pressure and hot water. Our Wi-Fi worked well. The breakfast from 7-9 am was good, they served fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels, donuts and pastries and of course coffee and tea.
With Acadia National Park being officially closed the staff was very helpful in telling us the closest and best places to park to get to our favorite spots.
When it comes time to go, you don't want to leave, you feel like you made some true friends. I can't wait to go back. I wish personnel in all places were like this. The only reason this review doesn't get a 5th star is the thinness of the room walls. I hope I have been helpful?
