Going off season was the best. The hotel wasn't open for dining or staying but the cottages were all open. There weren't many people there, the view is fabulous, sitting in the chairs on the expansive lawn, reading, eating lunch, drinking some wine and watching a couple of boats sail by, how can you beat it, especially for $100 a night? The staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable and the rooms have fireplaces. Croquet on the lawn, noodling around on the rocks at the water, just hanging out doing nothing. It was fabulous.
