My wife and I left reserving a sea kayak trip near Acadia NP 'till the last minute in mid-August. Oops. Maine State Sea Kayak took our names for the waiting list for a trip the next day and as our Verizon cel did not work in rural Maine, contacted us my email when 2 spaces opened up on their sunset tour. All the staff were great and the route lovely-downwind on the prevailing southerlies through the Bartlett Narrows, about 6.5 miles. Leisurely pace with a beach stop to stretch and snack. The trip was suitable for all levels of experience. Lots of wildlife-osprey, eagle, seal, etc. Well organized, good equipment, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They even found the pocket knife I inadvertently dropped in the parking lot and offered to mail it to me. O yes, parking at the office. Highly recommended!
