“Great view, overcooked lobster.”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

The view from McLoons is lovely. The food was so-so--the lobster on the lobster roll was overcooked, hence very tough. The atmosphere compensated but unless you are close by, this is probably not worth a major detour.

“Charming location”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Just a picture perfect postcard setting. The lobster was actually plucked up from the sea in front of us. It was served with an actual bucket to throw the shell away in and a cute dish with bread butter and cole slaw. Nice presentation. On the negative side...no choice of lobster size $16.99 buys you a one pound lobster. The pie for dessert was stale. At $72 it was our most expensive lobster pound lunch all week.

Thank you for the feedback. We apologize for the stale pie and will look into that immediately! It's true that we currently only offer lobster dinners in one size, but want to clarify that they are all 1 1/4 pound lobsters. We're glad you enjoyed our location so much, and hope you will visit us again!

“Great lobster rolls with a harbor view from picnic tables and Adirondack chairs.”
Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

I'm at the picnic table writing this review while enjoying my lobster roll and chips. Generous amount of lobster stuffed onto a buttered & grilled hot dog roll. Steamed lobsters are served with butter and the classic lobster bib. Burgers available too for non seafood eaters. Friendly and low key service. Clean tables and a tent to shade you from the sun. Fair prices.

“Fabulous views...can't get lobster any fresher”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

This is a classic small Maine lobster shack and it's wonderful. The food is all prepared on the premises. The lobster rolls are certainly as good as Red's. No fillers, just tons of lobster meat and they can't be any fresher. They are caught right there in the harbor! The burgers are grilled on an outside grill and yummy. Pies are all home-made. You sit on picnic benches and just take in the view, the activity of the lobster boats and the wonderful salt air. Can it be any better than this? If an authentic Maine lobster roll is what you're looking for, this is your place!
