I've been to a few chain Chuck E Cheese's. Located next to the Maine Mall, it seemed very well-maintained, cleanest out of any we've been to. We were not stamped when we went in, maybe because we were a little older than most Chuck E Cheese visitors (although my sister was only 14). The games did work fine, we went when the place was empty so we didn't really notice any space problems.

About 30 minutes later, the place packed up pretty fast. With kids all over and parents chasing after them, it's pretty hard to move around. There was plenty of space down where they did the shows, and it seemed that it was pretty empty down there, would have been nice to have either some more space or take away some of the less-popular games to give some more space on the floor, it seemed more of a hazard than anything else.

The food was okay, tried the salad bar and had an order of wings, salad was fresh and the wings were sauced and cooked pretty well. The place is overall an okay value, $60 got us (party of 3) about 2 hours of fun in a fairly safe environment. I would come here again, probably not for myself, though. Not enough adult games, which is understandable. Wish there were more options for adults, either wi-fi or an "adults arcade" with some older games that we'd like to play!

This is a great restaurant for families with children. What you do is order a pizza and eat that, then the kids go and use tokens that you buy to play hundreds of arcade games that are in the restaurant, while the adults can sit and relax.

Visited this location for tge first time today. Loved it that we were all stampped for security reasons. The food wasn't bad and the games kept the kids busy. Tge place needs wifi though so tge adults have something to do while the kids are playing.

Recently while in South Portland, Maine we visited the local Chuck E Cheese for our son's 4th birthday. I must admit, this was our first time to one even though we have 3 daughters, 24, 21, and 16 years old. We had a great time and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was and the variety of games there were. The food was okay, not the best pizza we have had but not the worst. Price even better because we were handed some coupons from another customer on the way in. They stamped our hands on the way in which can only be seen by a black light. Very good and safe idea. The only thing that would have made it a 10 rating would have been if the employees seemed like they wanted to be there. No energy or upbeat attitude for a place where "a kid can be a kid". http://blog.lifesupsdowns.com/2010/10/chuck-e-cheese-review.html
