in any other area, this might be a great restaurant, but for the portland area, this is veryaverage. The ambience is also below what you would expect

artfully presented tasty food, service was good and the chef was wonderful. One drawback, it seemed that the business office was in the dining room, which distracted from the ambiance.

I go here pretty often and love it. The chicken pad thai is the best. I love their crab rangoons too. Just tried the sushi for the first time and it was good too. Pretty great overall.

We've been visiting this restaurant for years, and were a little skeptical about the new sushi bar addition to this restaurant. Well, what makes the sushi so great here is that it's a. fresh and b. not boring. The spider roll was great, as well as the rainbow roll. We'll go back to try some of the other selections before too long. Hats off to Thai Taste for making it a fun and affordable option for the whole family.

This was an easy choice as I love Thai food and it was on the way back from Portland Head lighthouse, my first stop on a Friday evening. The parking lot was nearly full, but I only had to wait a minute or two for a table. After perusing the huge menu, I opted for the three course dinner for $16.95. This gives you a choice of a half order of any appetizer, an entree and ice cream (coconut, ginger or vanilla) for dessert. Note that if you choose an entree with shrimp, you can't have shrimp in the appetizer too.

The entree I selected was Chicken Chang Mai, which was full of tender sliced chicken, green beans, red pepper, and cashews, in a sweet and slightly spicy sauce: delicious! Diners can choose either white or brown rice. My appetizer was spring roll, with veggies, shrimp and served with a sweet dipping sauce. A Thai iced tea finished off my meal nicely. Portions here are very generous; you definitely won't leave hungry.

The service is fast, efficient and friendly, and you can tell that this a place packed with locals, and locals who apparently dine here often. Whenever I get back to Portland, Thai Taste will get a return visit.
