If you are not familiar with mid coast Maine, you need to get down then peninsulas and enjoy the charm and scenery of the coves. Since they are mostly surrounded by private property, your access (outside of friends's homes) is limited to a few parks, overlooks and some restaurants. That is where Coveside fits. In town, you probably would not bother with it due to the shabby appearance and somewhat overpriced and ordinary fare. On our visit, the food (stuffed haddock and a burger) was undercooked, but I will give that a grudging pass as a one time error. The help are pleasant enough, but quite clearly untrained in professional restaurant service. Enjoy the view!
