“A feast for your senses!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Eating at Jordan Pond House is not all about the food. Yes, the popovers are amazing and never disappoint but the view is a feast for the eyes. If weather permits, eat outside. The outdoor garden is surrounded by a border of beautiful wildflowers and overlooks Jordan Pond. The Bubble Mountains at the far end of the pond add to the splendor of the view. Yes, you should eat here, but more importantly walk around the area and enjoy the beauty of Acadia National Park. PS - Make a reservation and take the shuttle bus. Parking is a problem during busy times.

“Go for the popovers. Enjoy the view !”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

We have eaten here several times in the past twenty years. The popovers never disappoint. If the weather is nice eat outside, the view is amazing. Walk around Jordan Pond before or after your meal. The food is average, but the location is amazing.

“Popovers”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

This restaurant is actually in the Acadia National Park. The popovers are a big draw, you must try them. I had the lobster which was also excellent. The reservation guy outside the restaurant was a real grump to everyone. Once you get inside you can forget all about him. The views and atmosphere are beautiful. The whole park is beautiful. I am planning on going back someday, and it is a 18 hour drive.

“Amazing popovers & spectacular views!”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Hadn't been to the Jordan Pond house for several years and went for lunch with a good friend from Maine. Just the same as I remembered! The popovers are absolutely amazing! We sat outside on a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the water and mountain views. I had the garden salad with chicken which was crisp and fresh. My friend had the curried chicken salad plate which was served with crackers and grapes...the curried chicken was really delicious. Service was excellent. They are always busy and the wait was about 45 minutes but we shopped a bit in the gift shop and walked the grounds while we waited. It is so very worth the wait. If you haven't experienced this spot, you must put it on your list...be sure to eat outside if you can!
