We secured our reservation on March 2018, way in advance. We paid a $75 deposit for them to hold a pull thru, full hookup site for us. They agreed and assigned us Site C2. We we arrived in September, first the man at the front desk was hard to understand as he had a foreign accent. Then he proceeded to say we had reserved C1. Wrong. I have the email confirmation with the site number. He wanted to argue about the site. The site they put us in was not level and a back in site. My husband can back our camper up but we prefer pull thru when available. The site was very difficult to back into because the roads and campsites are very tight. Get the picture? Anyway we did manage to get parked. We were angry because they went back on their word. If you are going to switch sites, say so at the reservation and at least put you in a similar site. The guy said he was sorry and he would not do that to us again. Well great except we live in Florida and there won’t be an “again”. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay in the area. My point, why take a deposit if you don’t honor it?

Deborah,
We appreciate your feedback. It's disappointing to hear that you feel you were treated unfairly and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss further. The person at the desk is new(3 day), is in training to provide guest service. I do see that you have reserved the C2 Site in March. We make every effort to honor specific campsite requests. However, we do reserve the right to change any campsite(in the same category) assignments deemed necessary as we adjust to fill the occupancy/Maintenance (if staying is less then a week).

Thats the reason we do send the friendly remainder 2 days before the arrival.(Any changes are listed in it)

If you read any of the other reviews here, many of them note how wonderful and helpful our staff are, clearly noting their fantastic customer service and frequently pointing out their willingness to go above and beyond for our guests.

If you'd like to connect to discuss further please do so at info@wildduckcampground.com.

Quiet, clean, bathrooms very clean, no kids which is OK when one is an old fart. Yuvi the owner? manager? is very attentive and helpful. Wi Fi spotty. Sort of pricey. Not many amenities but that's the type we like. Baileys down the road is a RV resort if that's what your looking for. Would return if that means anything.

At first reservations were concerning. We have a 42’ towing class A and had requested a pull thru. Our friends had requested the same close to us. Things worked out when the fifth wheel next to us left the next day and our friends moved beside to us. Yuvi was very accommodating during our visit.
This park is amazing. It is like camping in a forest. Beautiful pines everywhere and nice spacing between. It is a small intimate campground for adults only. Staff was visible all day long including Yuvi and his wife. The bathrooms were spotless and the laundry room very nice. The park was very well maintained. A small pond was habitat by a large number of ducks which were entertaining to see.
If you ever get to Bar Harbor, you must go to Wild Duck! Close to the park, restaurants and shops. The seasonal people were very friendly, which you do not find in some parks.

The title is just a few words to describe this campground. We were especially impressed with the women who cleaned the shower rooms, I wish I got her name. She was the nicest, friendliest person I have ever come across. The place was immaculate! We will be returning for sure but next time, I will make sure I get her name!

We only stayed one night, but we wish we could have stayed more. The campground is peaceful and landscaped beautifully. It was also clean, and people were very friendly. The staff was excellent.
The only drawback is that the sites are quite narrow/small. This is common in New England, but here, they were so tight that we had to hear our neighbors' conversations all afternoon and evening. Worse, they complained about folks like us--true campers who were spending a few days in the area instead of living there full-time.

Room tip: Ask for a camp site with good views of the estuary.
