Pine Tree Seafood and Produce is technically not a restaurant, but they make the most wonderful lobster rolls. They have other items to go along with the lobster rolls: chips, sodas, cheeses. They have wonderfully fresh produce and seafood. I found the seafood to be very reasonably priced compared to the local supermarkets and other places where I have bought seafood. They also have many high-end items good for parties, especially for those coming up this holiday season. They even ship lobsters!
Give them a try!

This place is a gem. We live near Dunstan's Corner and were so happy to find this new seafood spot. The service is fantastic and the seafood the freshest we have had. It's now our new stop twice a week for fresh fish. Salmon has always been phenomenal and no bones in their filets. We have been going to commercial street in Portland for our fish for years but this fish tastes fresher. We stopped in one day and hadn't realized that they closed to do maintenance and the owner still took care of us. They also sell produce and other goods. This year we are told they will have free-range turkeys and freshly cut trees. So nice to see a Maine-based family owned business being run the right way.

On our recent road trip through coastal Maine, newly opened Pine Tree Seafood and Produce Store was a wonderful lobster surprise on Route 1 in Scarborough, between Portland and Kennebunk. After following a disappointing trail to fresh lobster from past trip advisor leads in Portland, we continued south down Route 1 toward Kennebunk. We discovered Pine Tree after almost giving up on the possibility of an inexpensive lobster dinner for the evening. What caught my wife’s eye from the road was an attractive seafood and produce store front with fall season pumpkins and a sign that said, “free steaming.” We walked into a bright and clean establishment with freshly picked produce, wine, a lobster tank with fresh live lobsters, and greeted by a very friendly father, Dick Whitmore, and son-in-law, Jim Hartley, storeowners. Although the store is not yet set-up for dining, they quickly accommodated us outside with lobster traps for seating. They prepared for us steam lobster, clams, and freshly picked local corn. Additionally we purchased freshly made cucumber salad. This was our most completely delicious and freshly prepared meal of our trip. It was also our best value of our weeklong road trip. Only a homemade, seasonally local blueberry pie for dessert was missing. We highly recommend that you seek them out when driving up the southern portion of the coastal Route 1 in Maine, and your first craving for lobster begins. We hope to return to Maine again to enjoy their warm hospitality.
