what a hidden jewel in Sanford. Had breakfast will be back for lunch. Hubby had the breakfast sampler - eggs, bacon and sausage with choice of french toast or pancakes. He chose the pancakes - 8" across, light and fluffy. Almost finished them, but not quite.

the wall murals are stunning and whomever did them - thanks you.

here is another Mel's Raspberry Patch in Springvale operated by the owner's sons - we are trying there next

Thank brucelegs

We frequently go to this restaurant-- wait staff is always friendly, food is always good and fair prices. Highly recommend homemade honey oat bread, strawberry pancakes (warning, pancakes are enormous!) turkey club, homemade hash, homemade muffins, chowder, meat lovers omelette... I could go on and on!! Small space, so there is an occasions wait... But well worth it!

Husband and I stopped for breakfast. Let's start with the eggs - overcooked; toast - cheap airbread; sausage patties - cheap, greasy; bacon - exceptionally soggy; coffee - dishwater. They did have 360 degree wall art that was very, very well done and quite beautiful, although if you want to eat there, just get a water to go and find someplace else. Sincerely, The Common Gourmet.

The last time I was here I got Eggs Benedict with corn beef hash with crispy home fries. I don't know what it is (perhaps the hollindaise sauce? Perhaps it's the eggs?) but it was utterly delicious and if it weren't frowned upon, I would have licked the plate clean.

My dad had French toast and loved his meal as well.

The service is consistently friendly and they are attentive enough without being overbearing. The best part? They always seem to know exactly when to refill your coffee.

In addition to being delicious, most meals here are pretty inexpensive.

Pro tip: do try to get there early for breakfast because it's very small and tends to get busy!
