We have been to Funtown many times before when our children were younger. They are now 19 and 17, but they requested we visit Funtown. My 20-something year old niece came along as well... as did my sister. We had a great day. Prices are reasonable, both for admission and for food. Rides are a mix of mainly "traditional" rides and some more modern ones (we did Funtown only, not Splashtown). Only thing we didn't like was the new "Crazy Mouse" coaster; preferred the old one it replaced.

Offering a descent price and discounts for Senior's (we don't qualify) But great for grand parents
Kids under 38 inches free and a variety of prices depending on what you want.
Plenty of rides from Thrill to family and kiddie rides and 18 water slides and pools
Not a HUGE park yet not small either comfortably sized so you can walk from water park to thrill rides and back again
Go early and stay all day
Plenty of food choices in different price ranges to suite your needs
Staff around every corner to be sure you have a safe and fun time
We have been to this park twice in two different years and expect we will return again..
Last visit was July of 2012

Traveled here when our kids were 6 and 4. Plenty of rides with almost none above their height requirement, so they never felt "left out". Water park was similar, and the pirate's play yard was outstanding. Water (like other reviewers have mentioned) is ice cold. Would return again if passing through southern Maine.

Nice and clean with enough rides to fill the day. Lines were as long as you would expect on a nice summer day, but they were bearable.
Very nice staff, gross food but it is an amusement park afterall.

Took two kids, 7 and 10. Had a great, albeit exhausting, day. Arrived at opening, did thrill rides first. No lines at all, everyone was at the water park (Splashtown). Waterpark around noon was VERY crowded. Lines were 20-30 mins on average, but there is plenty of shade, which helped. Tried many slides, the favorite with the kids was the Pirate Playground; no need to go anywhere else next time. 3 nice slides with no lines, many smaller slides, tons of 'get wet' stuff -- they loved it. The other slides were neat (and many were SCARY), but the lines were just a drag -- 90 degrees and everyone was there. The family raft slides were VERY intense for young kids or if you get stomach upsets -- one is DARK and twisty, the other feels like you're going to fall off at any minute. Very thrilling, but frankly not my thing personally. My 7 year old was terrified and only did 1 of them, then quit for the day :). My favorite was the 'race' slides -- you go on a mat against other people -- short wait and super fun - fast without scare factor. Funtown is a 'small' amusement park, but today we went on every ride and our favorites more than once. Longest wait was about 5 minutes, it was GREAT. We don't have little kids, but there are a lot of 'kiddie' rides for those under 48". I also like that you can bring in your own food and drinks. We saved a lot by bringing snacks, drinks and lunch with us. Since were were there early (10), we parked right at the main gate and just returned to the car for breaks during the day to eat, drink, change wet clothing, etc. We were there 10-5:30 and didn't do everything...but all were exhausted. Well worth them money. Also -- must mention -- clean facility and friendly staff. Great family spot, but be prepared for crowd in water park if it's hot.
