We returned this year for our 'pet-friendly' Maine vacation.
Jeanie and Mitch and the entire staff make the Glen Cove Inn a desirable stop.
The property is well cared for with lovely blooming flowers everywhere.
The room was newly redecorated with a coastal motif and a flat screen tv.
The breakfast on the covered porch had a variety of choices. The propane heaters helped take the chill and dampness away on 2 rainy mornings.
Chris at the front desk was friendly and very helpful Julie did a fantastic job on our room each day.
We highly recommend the Glen Cove Inn.

The reviews here are all in agreement -- you will not go wrong staying here for a night or a month. The rooms are quite small but good facilities, very clean and modern. The staff are extremely helpful and willingly brewed up fresh coffe in the evening. The breakfasts are good and taken on a covered, open porch. They have gas patio heaters, but it can get chilly at end of season. Still, everything else more than makes up. Highly recommended.

We spent last night at Glen Cove Inn and Suites and found our room to be very clean, decorated in a cottage decor and the bed extremely comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring mid coastal Maine and the ferry boats to the off shore islands. The gal at the reception desk on our check in was very helpful in offering advise on where to eat dinner that night in Camdam which is less than 10 minutes away. The owners have done a remarkable job in updating the rooms to todays high standards and yet keeping the room rates at a reasonable cost. My only negative is that is takes awhile for the water to get hot in the shower but when it did it was fine. I would stay here again.

Booked Glen Cove Inn and Suites as an extension to a weekend stay in Maine. What a wonderful find we made! Our room was spotless, comfortable, updated, and had a beautiful view of the bay/harbor area from the deck. The staff at the property went out of the way to make sure that we were comfortable and happy with our room. I only wish that we'd had another day or two available to stay. Glen Cove Inn and Suites has a great location, right along Rt.1. I'd recommend it strongly, and hope to be able to stay there again on our next visit to Maine.

Room Tip: Suite 13 is gorgeous, and has a GREAT view of the Cove.

Our stay at the Inn was as pleasant as it could possibly be. The accommodations were first rate, and the continental breakfast was the best I've ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly, and from the start it was clear they would do anything, and I mean ANYTHING to make our stay as comfortable and pleasing of an experience as we could possibly have. Originally, we booked the Inn because online the accommodations looked quite nice for a very reasonable price. The Inn more than exceeded expectations, and we need look nowhere else when booking for future stays!

We had the most wonderful experience in what I call Maine's best kept secret! We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay with our dog while having carpet installed in our home. We wanted to be able to relax and enjoy some of the sights in the area. We arrived early and when my husband went into the office to determine if we could check in early, a very nice member of the housekeeping staff came over to pet our dog and I asked about things to do in the area. At this point she didn't even know we were staying at the Inn and gave us directions to Port Clyde Lighthouse, Places to eat, Mount Battie, and went in the office and brought us back a map...highlighted the routes and was more than happy to go out of her way to help. We had a lovely appointed room with a little deck, the king size bed was so comfortable along with wonderful pillows. The best surprise was the refrigerator tucked tastefully in the bathroom area which included a Keurig coffee maker and coffee, sugar, creamers. This Inn provides great attention to detail to provide the ultimate comfort for its guests. The coffee maker was a great touch considering they provide a continental breakfast which is just lovely, served on the open air veranda. The pool area is pristine and private. My husband and I had it all to ourselves for two hours that afternoon. Someone is always around to answer questions, continually restocking the breakfast area, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this treasure by the sea. We can't wait to go back!
