The Board of Directors for our credit union was looking for a place to hold our annual planning session. We searched for a unique experience, drifting away from the traditional "meeting place" atmosphere often found in conference facilities or borrowed boardrooms. Since we were going to be in the Rockland, Maine area for a credit union conference, we searched for area hotels/Bed and Breakfasts that would be willing to host our group during the off season. Our search led us to The Berry Manor Inn. From the initial call, we knew our event and our participants were going to be handled in a very special and caring way.
The Inn itself was magnificently decorated and renovated in the Victorian style that was reminiscent of the late 1800's. Each individual room was so beautifully appointed that we found ourselves overwhelmingly jealous of everyone elses rooms!
The breakfasts were amazing and the meeting room facilities were perfect for our needs. But perhaps the best compliment that I would share with any future visitors was the relationship that was instantly established with our Inn Keepers. It was evident from the moment we entered the front door for the first time. Cheryl and Mike were the most gracious hosts, engaging us in conversation about the history of the Rockland area and sharing with us their unending knowledge of the Berry Mansion, what it was in 1890 and how they strove to recapture the uniqueness that resides in a true Victorian Mansion. I would give the Inn and it's Keepers the highest of high ratings! It's a sure bet that we will be returning to The Berrry Manor Inn.

The Berry Manor Inn is becoming a favorite for me and my husband. We stayed a night last year for our one year anniversary and just recently went back for a "just because" stay!! The owners are impeccable with detail and we had such a great time!! The rooms are beautiful, clean, romantic, and relaxing. The food is also incredible and we always look foward to the breakfast that is served! We will be visiting them again later this year!! The owners also know a great deal about the local area to assist with dinner reservations and sightseeing! Very helpful if you are not from the area!!

This was the best vacation ever. My wife and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The first thing she said as she layed on the four poster bed was "I feel like a princess!" Enough said. It was the perfect getaway. The room screams romance, the ammenenties scream relaxation. If you don't take a shower in the jet shower your loss. The homemade pies were excellent and hit the spot every night.

Mike and Cheryl the innkeepers run a top notch B and B. We will be back very soon.

An absolute wonderful stay! I've never felt so welcome in my life! ...encouraged to make ourselves at home....right down to the use of the kitchens, ful range of snacks.....and don't forget the home-made pies! The home itself was breath-taking, beautifully decorated, richly texured, and romantic. Take advantage of the special "romance" pakages, complete with roses, champagne, chocolates, jaccuzi tubs, double showers and fire palce. we will be making it a yearly experience!

We love to stay at bed & breakfasts and are sometimes nervous about trying new ones. Anyone who is thinking of staying here should defininately not worry, it will exceed your expectations. The house is gorgeous, the rooms are so comfortable, and the amenities are excellent. You really feel like your'e staying with family, a very generous family.
Upon our arrival, we met Mike who had a great sense of humor. If you stay, you'll see. And then on to the main house to meet Cheryl who knew our name as we walked in, maybe she's psychic? They really take pride in their business and its reflected in this bed and breakfast.
We stayed in room 11 in carriage house and took advantage of the huge tub and 8 jet shower. There was nightly turndown and changing of towels after evening shower. I haven't seen that at all bed and breakfasts. We made sure we stuffed ourselves with a variety of pie, including raspberry, blueberry, and apple, al-a-mode. There was a stocked, common refrigerator(sodas, juices, icecream, water) and a variety of hot beverages to choose from. There was even popcorn provided for the microwave, which my son loved
What made it so great was the family that owned it, the pie mom and friend served morning breakfasts so cheerfully. On our two days the breakfast included a crustless quiche and raspberry stuffed croissant french toast. Along with homemade poundcakes and a fruit dish-just great but totally stuffing!
We brought our 9 year old and he was treated just as well as us. Cheryl, Mike, and their mom always spoke to him as if he were just another guest. He loved the attention as did we.
Thanks and we can't wait to return. We are the testers for our family and if we give it a thumbs up, they will follow. See you this summer.
