Description: We are located right in the heart of Downtown Rockland and serve fresh, high quality food and beverages. Our menu changes seasonally to take advantage of local ingredients and tastes. We have a dining area where customers have a great view of Main Street as well as a cozy horseshoe bar where you can watch all the sports games. We offer live bands, beer promotions and dinners, trivia night, open mic and much more! We offer a great selection of beer with 16 beers on tap daily. Six of them are brewed in-house and Dan likes to change it up, so check them out often. We also have a full bar and experienced mixologists to create the perfect drink to suit your mood. The brewery has been up and running since September. Dan is brewing almost daily to keep local, fresh Rock Harbor beer flowing through the taps. Be sure to check out his latest brews and stop in to tour the brewery and learn about the brewing process. He loves chatting about beers and recommending the perfect beer to every customer, so be sure to ask! All our staff are here to make your dining and drinking experience the best ever. We look forward to serving you! Cheers!

A very popular pub on Main Street.
We both had the haddock chowder. Excellent!
Our table was a little sticky.

Having spent time strolling the various galleries on Main Street, we thought about a regional cold gold at the Pub & Brewery to accompany lunch. The subject heading of this review provides you with our impressions of the restaurant, in rank order of good (wonderful IPA) to adequate (typical pub fare with, unfortunately, soggy fries) to poor (the waitstaff on a Saturday afternoon in peak tourist season). The grilled haddock we ordered was cooked adequately, a bit on the more well done side, the accompanying cole slaw was bland but edible, but the limp and soggy french fries had to be left on the plate, just because. There seemed to be no particular ordering of orders coming from the kitchen, and it took us nearly 40 minutes before our meal arrived during a time when neither the bar nor the restaurant was particularly busy. It would appear that the kitchen was short staffed, and the personnel weren't particularly engaged in the quality of the food.

Six of us ate here after visiting the Farnsworths Museum a couple of blocks away. We should have driven further out, as this was really only so so and we averaged about $20 per person for our lunch with a beer. We enjoyed the beers. Our server was friendly. They gave two small glasses of two beers for one of our party who requested a taste before deciding what to order. Unfortunately, the food just didn't cut it with one exception- the haddock chowder was very good. The haddock sandwiches were very so so and we learned they used frozen, not fresh haddock. The clam sandwich was a little better, but the fish and chips were awful. The outside was burnt and oily at the same time. We will try another place in town next time.

Food and beer offerings above average. Sadly, understaffed. Awkward entry between bar and restaurant. Long wait to get seated, as well as with every stage thereafter. Waitress forgot beer which was understandable as she was clearly overwhelmed with being solo. Suggest improving curb appeal upon entry and appropriate staffing. Watched 20 people enter and leave despite many open, albeit unbussed tables. Missed opportunity.

We stopped in here when we went to the lobster festival. It was a nice surprise! We sat in the bar area and ordered beer thats brewed right there. Both my husband and I ordered two different kinds and they were all good. It was really cool when the owner Dan stopped to talk to us. Its funny because you immediately got that small town feeling when we were talking. We ordered the lobster shots which were delicious. Then I had the lobster bisque soup and fried clams. Some of the best fried clams that I have ever eaten. Really Good! My husand ordered the haddock cesar salad, I am guessing it was delicious because there wasn't a crumb left on his plate! They do have a full bar if beer isn't your thing. Ask for Erika at the bar and she will take great care of you. Thanks for making our first trip to Maine feel like we were home. We will be back this winter for the Imperial beer that Dan said that we had to try!
