This was my first solo vacation, my first time staying on any kind of ship, and my first trip to Maine. I loved everything about the experience. Every meal was incredibly, amazingly good—one of the best parts of the trip. The crew was excellent. It was such a pleasure sailing on this historic vessel around the bay and seeing the beauty of the coastline, amazing sunsets, and lighthouses. We were able to go ashore a couple of times, once to visit the Wooden Boat School during their festival, and once to see the town of Stonington—so much fun! A couple evenings, Captain Sam and Cara would entertain us with beautiful music and songs. The cruise was the ultimate in relaxation— just finding a place to curl up and read or taking photos of the gorgeous scenery. I’ll definitely be back again next summer!

My husband and I boarded Victory Chimes and spent five days sailing around Penobscot Bay, anchoring in secluded coves, attended a rendezvous with other schooners at the Wooden Boat School. The food on board was scrumptious from lobster dinners to corned beef and cabbage!
Special evenings included beautiful sunsets followed by our Captain and Cara performing great music on deck with base and fiddle.
Special thanks to the crew who taught us how to raise sails on such a large sailing schooner.
We will return next year for another cruise.

We boarded the boat for a four day cruise around the islands near Rockland, MA; Nothing could have been better. The 118 year old boat was immaculate, the food was incredible, and the crew were great. We've sailed around Maine before, but this experience the best ever.
