“Always Great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

The Brass Compass is our go to place for a hearty breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is friendly, comfortable and clean. The menu is varied with something for everyone! Our favorites include the corned beef hash, fish cakes, eggs Benedict with crabcakes, seafood omelet, home made bread, huge muffins and cinnamon buns! For lunch you must try the Lobster Club made with homemade bread which was made famous on Bobby Flay's tv show, Throwdown! The portions are generous, delicious and all home made. The wait staff are friendly, helpful and are always there to warm up your coffee. We love it and often bring out of town friends to wow them.
We have never had a disappointing meal at The Brass Compass!

“Lobster Omelet!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2014

We had heard that the restaurant offered an omelet that was super loaded with fresh lobster meat! It did not disappoint. You can get it with or without Hollandaise sauce. At times there is a wait.....it is worth it! Make sure you check out the daily specials there is always something good happening there as well. In the warmer months there is outdoor seating available.

“Great Breakfast and Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2014

We ate breakfast here twice in our week long visit. The review that didn't think the Lobster Roll was Throwdown worthy didn't order the Lobster Club. That's the one that won and was super! Homemade bread and bacon made it much better than the regular roll. Huge variety for breakfast. Loved it. there. Service was good even when they were swamped.

“okay, but cook needs reminded of food safety practices...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

Had breakfast here on back to back mornings. First morning the restaurant was fairly busy, only one cook. Order two eggs over easy, corn beef hash, home fries and rye toast. Everything was overcooked...eggs had hard yolks, corned beef hash fried dry, toast burnt.
Second morning the food was prepared better, however I watched the cook eating as she was preparing others food. Also observed her handing dirty dishes and then returning to prepare food without washing her hands.

“Yummy!”

Had the Compass Club...it was awesome. A little pricey but worth it! Highly recommend! They do close somewhat early so be sure to check it out for breakfast or lunch.
