My wife and I spent a long weekend at the inn and enjoyed it completely. PJ and Frank are terrific hosts and the inn couldn't be nicer. Rooms are nicely done and comfortable without the extravagant bric a brac that seem to permeate so many overdone and undersized rooms. The place is quiet and the location is walking distance to everything ....and the front porch beckoned every afternoon. It's worth seeking out and worth a return trip!

LimeRock Inn is a beautiful (and beautifully restored) Victorian house. Frank and PJ are very good and professional hosts. When my son and his girlfriend expressed a desire to meet the dogs they'd seen in their photos, Frank was very accommodating.

The location is excellent -- a five-minute walk into town, including the must-see Farnsworth Museum. The rooms are well-appointed, including small complimentary bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar from the Rockland establishment Fiore (which we visited before we ever tried the products, and is an experience not to be missed). Because the bath facilities were squeezed into existing rooms, you end up with quirks like sinks in the bedroom (the North Haven room, for one), or the shower in a closet (Petit Manan).

Breakfast was excellent (ours was ricotta pancakes, with an accommodation of scrambled eggs for my gluten-intolerant wife), served at tables of four, so you can get the B&B "meet your fellow guests" experience in a modest fashion.

There is an exceptionally well-stocked pantry available 24/7.

The grounds, which include a gazebo, are expansive.

Rockland is worth a stop when traveling the Maine Coast, and the LimeRock Inn is the place to stay.

We stumbled into Rockland Maine on our week's trip through Maine. What a treat! We lucked out because of a cancellation and landed at this great inn. PJ greeted us and gave us a tour of the house. Immaculate and beautifully designed. Our room faced a flower garden and our bed was most comfortable with great linens. Breakfast was divine. blueberry lemon scones and maple walnut pancakes. Only 8 rooms so book early. They suggested a sushi restaurant in town which matches any Japanese restaurant in NYC.

Room Tip: Book early. There are different size rooms.

Every room is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer and I can't wait to go back. Frank and PJ are wonderful, generous and helpful, and the breakfasts are to die for. LimeRock is one of my favorite places to stay; for romance, family, friends or a solo weekend getaway.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are so beautiful it's difficult to choose which one I like most.

Met our dear friends from Bar Harbor here for a birthday celebration. It was great!! Frank and Pj are very warm and welcoming. The common areas are very comfortable to just relax and talk.
The rooms were spotless and very well appointed with all the amenities.
Hopefully we will be returning !!!

Frank & PJ are THE BEST. They are passionate and 1000% devoted to what they do - and what they do is make you feel like their best friend. We stayed at The LimeRock for 3 nights during the Maine Lobster Festival and can't wait to return. The Turret room was spacious, spotless (as was the entire property) and romantic. Breakfast each morning is prepared by Frank & served by both of them. No matter what your need, a restaurant tip or travel directions, they both were insightful and ready to share all of their knowledge. The backyard garden & Gazebo areas were beautiful and provide Frank with much of what he uses in his breakfast presentations. The Inn is only 2 blocks from downtown but seemed lightyears away from the hustle & bustle of Main St and the Lobster Festival. We have & will continue to recommend them to all of our friends & can't wait to return. I hope they enjoy their 'downtime' in Italy at the end of the year - they deserve it.
