Description: In April 2009, Kelly and Michael Woods transformed Rockland’s Historic Train Station at 4 Union St. into the lively restaurant and bar Trackside Station. Known for its great food and entertaining atmosphere, Trackside Station won 7 “Best of the Best” awards in 2012: Appetizers, Wings, BBQ, Night Spot, Sports Bar and two more awards for their entertaining and friendly Server and Bartender.Trackside Station’s unique space features 24-foot ceilings, a large bar area with 8 different beers on tap along with large flat screen televisions and a 150-inch drop-down projection screen.Head Chef Chaz Doherty joined Trackside in mid-April 2013. Doherty, a Johnson & Wales graduate, brings a great deal of experience to Trackside with a diverse background. Doherty has worked in restaurants for most of his life, learning all facets of the business from front of house to back of house. Customers can enjoy fresh cuisine with house-made items. Doherty cures all of Trackside’s bacon in-house, grinds meat for a custom burger blend as well as bakes their sandwich rolls daily. Trackside offers a variety of seafood including fresh Maine lobster and crab meat, shrimp, scallops, clams and haddock. Other popular items include their house-made gnocchi, pork belly, pulled pork and chicken, fresh veggie plate, salads, pizzas and more.In addition to food, Trackside also features weekend entertainment including DJ music, a Name That Tune game, a Touch Tunes jukebox and live music. Trackside creates a monthly entertainment, food, and drink specials calendar that is available at the restaurant. This information and more is updated frequently on their Facebook page.

Bartender was the waitress so we had to wait a long time for everything. The veggie burger was a hard patty on a stale bun with ridiculously unfresh onion rings on the side. My husbands chili burger had fried jalapeños and about 10 kidney beans on top. Very underwhelming and a waste of a vacation dinner out. We should've take. The fact that we were the only diners as a clue. Will certainly not return again

We really enjoyed this unexpected gem. Have the nochos. They're great. Staff is very friendly and they have entertainment some evenings. In an old train station a block off main street.

This is a good place to eat for a change and for families. Food is average but good for the prices. We are locals and enjoy it when we do go there. I would recommend it for a change if you eat out a lot and need a place where children are okay.

Since Trackside opened 3 years ago, it had been our “catch all” restaurant.

Thanks to it’s fun atmosphere, friendly staff and classic menu (with specials thrown in daily to supplement) Trackside is the place to go for any occasion.

It’s a great place to sit and have a drink or bring your family in for dinner – we go there all the time and always leave happy.

Recommended: chocolate milkshake, Chili (homemade and SO good), Turkey Club, Nettie’s Mac and Cheese and the Burgers!

My husband and I eat at Trackside at least once per week, if not more. It is a cute atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is always good. The mac n' cheese is AWESOME! We always pick Trackside when it is time to go out to dinner!
