My husband and I have stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn B&B for extended trips over the February school vacation for several years now. Coming here is a mix between coming home and walking into "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. Jan and Rob and warm, welcoming, and excellent hosts and tend to have great friendly guests (many of them regulars) who enjoy the casual environment. If coming in the winter, there are great spots for winter activities--Saddleback is a fantastic mountain, the cross country area is great, and there are lots of snowshoeing areas or snowmobiling spots if that's your thing. But it's really a great four season spot (well, maybe not so much in mud season...). This time we were invited to a special gathering at their fantastic cabin/camp across the lake, where we enjoyed fraternity with favorite guests and local friends.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, the common areas well used for reading and gathering, and Rob's breakfasts delicious (baked eggs! blueberry pancakes! baked blueberry French toast!).
We will certainly be back.More
