This place is amazing! the cabins are clean and well tended, the views are breathtaking and the staff is beyond incredible. We hosted our wedding here 8 years ago, and have returned as often as we've been able. We're headed back next weekend to celebrate our anniversary with them, they always remember our names, and those of our children, greeting us warmly like old friends. Plus the price is right and the location is unbeatable!

We've been going to Hunter Cove in Rangeley at least 5 years. We love it! It's the perfect place for our family getaway and to spend quality time together. We bring our boat and dock it on the Hunter Cove's docks. We love the fishing, swimming, biking, canoeing and kayaking. The cabins are well equipped for your time there with all you need in the kitchen, sleeping accommodations, and relaxing. There is a swing set and sandbox for the kids and easy access for them to get into the lake. This is now our annual tradition vacation and the kids look forward to going every year. I love that they will such great memories of our family vacations at Hunter Cove.

Chris and Ralph are wonderful people that are very attentive but also give you space to enjoy your time together.

We stayed here the first weekend in October and chose it because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We stayed in cabin #3, which was very spacious and felt very homey. The cabin was very clean and exceeded our expectations. The location can't be beat. There is wildlife everywhere, its right on the lake with amazing mountain views. The only disappointing thing is that they close for the winter. We will definitely be returning here next year and staying longer!! Thanks for amazing stay!

Stayed here the first week of Autumn when the leaves are at peak.4th time in 5 years, perfect
base for section hiking the Appalachian Trail from the New Hampshire line to
Saddleback. Halfway between restaurants at Oquasic and Rangeley.Sit on the dock reading
with friendly neighborhood wood ducks.More deer in the area than squirrels(red) thanks to
some well placed apple trees.Sit onthe porch and watch then moon come up ! Great place
for retirees.Off the beaten path.No traffic noise. Quiet area to walk around, excellent place
to look for meteors accross the road up the hill.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it clean, quiet and very peaceful. The location is spectacular and the cabins just perfect. The large docks and the boathouse are a great place to relax and listen to the loons. We loved it so much we booked another cabin for two weeks later. Will definitely be going there as much as we can as we own a business and need a perfect place like Hunter Cove Cabins to get away from our hectic lives.

First time in this area. Stayed 3 nights. Hunter Cove is a winner. The cabin was very clean, warm & everything you need is right there. Get your groceries at IGA & enjoy this gorgeous place. The owners, Chris & Ralph are very nice. They make sure your stay is enjoyable. For example; Chris outfitted the bathrooms with high quality thick soft large towels. The view of the cove from the screened in porch is very relaxing. The cushioned lounge chairs on the decks were perfect. Canoes & row boats at your disposal. We saw a Moose just outside the driveway. We ate in 2 places: Tall Tales twice & Parkside & Main. See my reviews on TA. I will definitely be back to Hunter Cove.

For a beautiful drive take route 16 both ways; North to Stratton or East to Errol, NH. If you take route 16 to Stratton, you must go up Quill Mt. It's about 10 mi. outside Rangeley. There is a small road sign pointing to a "12 minute ride for a 360 degree view". It's a well kept dirt rd. & well worth the ride. The view is one of the most spectacular in Maine. The business man who built it made another one close by called IRA.

If you go East on route 16 to Errol, you must go in L.L. Cote Outfitters. It's like L.L. Bean was when they began.

Another nice ride is on Route 17 South to Height of Land - about 10 mi. from Rangeley. Gorgeous views right on the road.

Room Tip: Cabin # 6 is the best for couples since it's a 1 bd. rm.

I've stayed at Hunter Cove several times with my wife and we both agree, a few days at Hunter Cove Cabins is like several weeks of relaxation. The cabins are cozy. The owners Chris and Ralph are the best hosts and are totally attentive to their guests needs. I live on Cape Cod and I know about vacation spots. This is where I go to get away from it all. The beautiful rustic setting on Rangeley Lake sweeps you away to another place and time. The cabins have the most modern necessities yet are still quaint and quiet. It's a place where you wake up and look out your window to see giant deer grazing on apples in the yard. I've stayed in several of the cabins and they were all meticulously maintained. I look forward to staying there again, many times.

Room Tip: Internet works better as you get closer to the main house.
