We booked a room here last minute over Memorial Day weekend. It is extremely reasonable, clean and the staff is friendly. It was only a couple minutes to downtown Portland as well. The rooms are a little outdated, but we didn't find any major issues and did see they were remodeling the 2nd floor. Would definitely stay here again on short notice and for a quick trip to ME!

Room Tip: Dog-friendly!

We loved our two-night stay at the Clarion this past week. We found the place on hotels.com, the rate couldn't be beat! When we checked in the two women working the front desk got us in early, gave us a map of Portland and pointed out some great places that we ended up loving! They rooms were spacious and very clean and it included parking. We were grateful it was close to a grocery store- we were able to get some much needed fruits and veggies after being on the road. We also were able to walk to Holy Donuts and the Farmers Market. They do not include breakfast, but it is an extensive buffet for $10/person

The hotel was fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. Did have an older feel to it, so it could do with an upgrade. Very convenient if you have a car. Two minor issues I somehow overlooked; shuttle stopped running at about 11 pm, so we had to get a taxi when our flight was delayed, and breakfast is not included. That said, the next morning we were able to catch the shuttle back to the airport. Shuttle and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. I do not consider this to be up to the typical standards of what I expect of a Clarion hotel, but that may be because many of them are newer.

Stayed one night and it was perfectly adequate. The room was clean although had a musty smell and side drape was drooping due to broken grommet. No breakfast included; however, there was a good buffet for $10 each (we decided to eat elsewhere). I had terrible problems with the internet connection and called front desk around 7pm. The front desk girl said someone would call but no one did. When we checked out the next morning, I mentioned the problem and the manager (Don) was fantastic. He made amends by offering breakfast (which we declined since we had already eaten) and then a coupon towards our next visit. Very friendly and great PR. Good location as long as you have a car ... not downtown or near the waterfront.

We stayed at this hotel for an overnight while in Portland. The price met our budget and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The lobby was fresh and welcoming and it was great to have a small bar and restaurant within the hotel.

The room appeared newly renovated along with new furniture. Our bed was quite comfortable with crisp sheets and a selection of four pillows - two appeared to be feather and two foam or similar thereto. I prefer a feather pillow so it was nice to have a choice. The room was quiet and we would definitely stay here again.

It is short walk to the bus/train station and they offer a seasonal park and fly package. I was told during the simmer months there is an additional $6.00 a day for parking for the park and fly. It is approximately one or two miles to downtown Portland or the waterfront - so for price point it would be a good choice. At the time of this writing, a taxi to/from the airport would be approximately $10.00 or $12.00 but the hotel also offers a shuttle that starts at 4:30 a.m. and runs until 11:30.

Nice hotel, good price, would recommend.

Our group stays here every three years when we meet in the Northeast. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are great. Our meals here have been very good. The location is perfect and close to Portland restaurants and nightlife.

For $109 you get a room and 7 days of parking. Great for a March break trip. Note you have to book at the hotels website to get the park n fly rate, otherwise it is your rate and $6 a day. The shuttle to the airport was quick and friendly as was the pick up. I was really impressed with the free hot coffee at 4:30 am. The bad news was some let all the air out of the tires of my car. The air caps were taken off and placed beside the tire. The staff was supportive and I think they were more upset than I was about the situation.

I heard the on site resutant was good but I didn't get a chance to eat at it.
