stayed there recently, nice hotel, quiet, rooms very nice, big flat screen tv, modern decor, and beds sparkling clean and comfortable, coffee maker and hair dryer a plus, and plently of room to walk around, a great deal all around, will be back again when in the area.

Room Tip: had a room adjacent to parking lot seemed to be quiet outside as opposed to facing the street I woul...

My husband and 8 month old stayed here for a few days in the beginning of October. We requested a crib for the room. We were told it was suppose to be in the room. It wasn't but we called downstairs and it was delivered within 10 minutes. They even provided sheets and blankets for it. We had an executive king room and it was huge. It was a corner room, in an "L" shape. This might not be a big deal for most, but if you are traveling with an infant, having the additional room and being have to put him in his own space was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the view was gorgeous. The only downfall was the bathroom was kinda small.
Had a great indoor pool. It rained a good bit while we were there so we took full advantage of this amenity.
The staff in the hotel restaurant were wonderful. As I mentioned we had our 8 month old with us and they were so sweet and wonderful to him. We really appreciated their kindness and warmth. We almost went back to visit after spending a few days in Bar Harbor to see them before returning home.
The location is great! Easy, quick free shuttle from the airport and amtrak. You can easily walk all over the city. I walked to Whole Foods which was about a 20 min walk from the hotel. Great walk, side walks the entire way.
We would definitely stay here again.

Great views if you are on the harbour side. Get one of the corner rooms here, lots of room. If you are priority club you get a free drink every night you stay, food is not so good in the restaurant. Clean updated rooms within walking distance to old port, but not too close.

I have stayed here many times. I like the location. It feels like you are in the heart of Portland by being in the downtown area. It's close to the Old Port and all that is going on in the city. The staff is great. I think the property is well maintained. Front desk staff and housekeeping are particularly helpful and friendly. Well done.

Though we do realize that there are hardly any luxury hotels in the area, we were slightly disappointed with our stay. We kind of still expected certain standards from a Holiday Inn. Not sure if it's only our room in particular, but would say the rooms would need "significant' refurbishing. The service was also not up to par. Being a Platinum IHG member, we hardly experienced any aspect of their service that was memorable. In terms of the value, would assess that the rate, all things considered, ought to be at least 50 USD cheaper. Hope this feedback helps.

I've nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The location is in between Free Street and Old Port and across the street from the Portland Museum of Art. Even though there were bus tours there, we slept peacefully and the staff kept the groups moving.

The rooms were clean and well-kept. The staff was very nice and the pool was a plus at 82 degrees! The TV had lots of selections and the breakfast buffet was voted one of the best that my family of four has ever eaten at. All the food was fresh and the meals were hot and the fact that kids eat free didn't hurt either!

Check this place out for the price and location!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room with a view of the water - very pretty!

Although there isn't anything to write home about at this hotel, the big thing is the value you get. There are only a handful of hotels in the Old Port area, and from May through October, there is limited availability. Due to that, prices are all very high. We ended up spending $230 for a room at this hotel. Although expensive, the other hotels within walking distance to the Old Port were all about $300 a night. Its a short five minute walk to all the stores and bars.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the water which was great.
