We came to meet Dana Moos and the experience was all we had hoped for and more. The Inn was beautiful, eclectic, charming and inviting. We had ordered a cheese plate and the chocolate chip plate and it was the best selections! The staff was helpful, attentive, kind and friendly. They were sure to answer questions, help with places to go sightseeing and dine out and make our stay the most pleasant it could be. Breakfast? Well, that was just heaven on earth. My husband and I had so much fun with the other guests and the food and presentation was out of this world. There was a sitting area and I went to quietly read and have an afternoon snack of tea and cookies, it was perfect. Wandering around the neighborhood was inspiring (I love houses), the sightseeing was wonderful and the places we ate out upon Pomegranate's recommendations were top notch. Meeting Dana and her husband was spectacular and you will love them too! We cannot wait to go back!

Room Tip: The master suite was bright and cheery!

B and I are not B&B types, but Pomegranate Inn was blissfully free of Victorian kitsch and rules. The decor and art are funky and fun! We were so pleasantly surprised! The only drawback is noise from other guests in the morning, but that is to be expected in any small hotel...we came equipped with earplugs and eye masks (we wished there were darkening shades). Dana and Greg (and Alex) were all great. We'll definitely stay again next time in Portland (which is quite often).

Breakfast was delicious and prepared with such care and love..poached pears with granita (not too sweet), bruleed grapefruit, frittata for B (I don't eat eggs...I only wished I had asked Dana beforehand for a vegan breakfast), great coffee.

(P.S. Room and bathroom were spotless. Bed was really comfy. And the chocolate plate I ordered as a surprise for B was positively overflowing and delicious - we love dark chocolate!)

We booked last minute at the Pomegranate and were delighted to find a wonderful accomodation like this. It is warm, inviting and decorated in a very artsy and eye-pleasing way. The rooms have all hand painted walls and we loved staying in spacious room #4 with it's cute fireplace, large windows, and incredibly comfortable king size bed. The Inn Keepers were very friendly and attentive to their guests and if you love gourmet breakfasts, go no further than down the stairs from your bedroom. We have never had such an amazingly creative and delicious breakfast at any restaurant, nevermind a bed and breakfast. The neighborhood is quaint and close enough to Old Port to be very convenient. I would return to the Pomegranate in heartbeat!!

Greg and Dana are experience Inn Keepers running a wonderful B&B. My wife and I had a pleasant state. The location on the Western Prom in Portland allows for great walks in a nice neighborhood. Dana's breakfasts are the best I have ever experience in a B&B. Normally when we go to Portland we stay in the Old Port, however we found the walk to the Old Port to be completely manageable. There are also several great dining options close to the Inn. The Inn has a very comfortable living room, so plan some lounging time. Highly recommend Pomegranate Inn.
