This restaurant and bar is only one block from the Fine Arts Museum and near the multistory carpark so seemed a natural for lunch. Service was painfully slow and we were badgered for extra drink orders well before the food arrived. Try it if you are prepared to wait.

While we didn't eat there, we went to the Dogfish to hear some local, live music. The bar was well-staffed so even though it was crowded, we didn't have to wait long for service. Great music, too.

Good burgers, good craft beer selection, decent service, couple of TVs, relaxed atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon just a few steps from the Portland Museum of Art.

Stopped in here because it was the only place we could find to get us in prior to a concert at the Civic Center, the hostess was very nice and helpful (we were attempting to surprise a friend for her birthday and she joined right in on the festivities. Drink selection was great and the nachos were very tasty! Quick service for a busy Saturday night as well.

We used to go to the Dogfish often but our last experience there was our last.
I ordered the steak fajitas and my wife order a steak salad.

The steak was so bad we couldn't chew it no matter how small we cut it up. Because we didn't eat it the waitress asked us if we wanted it wrapped up to go. We explained it was extremely poor quality and she apologized and said she's talk to management. She came back and said they took 30% off.
They took 30% off one entree which was about 4.00!! I called the owner and left a nice voice mail explaining I'd like to share me experience with him...
.HE NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL BACK!
That speaks volumes about the lack of care and as a result, they lost a good customer.
To bad too- it used to be a nice place a few years ago- when they cared about their customers and putting out a quality product.
