“A good dinner”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

We dined early (5:30) on a Friday. The place looked to be 80% full, and the noise level was lively to say the least. It got a bit louder as the alcohol consumption kicked in, but it was certainly possible to converse a deux. We had apps and entrees, which were imaginative and quite good, and attractively priced. The portions were so ample that dessert was out of the question. My only gripe was that we were kept waiting for our entrees quite a bit longer than I felt we should have -- don't know if this was the fault of the server or the kitchen.

“Best Breakfast in a long time”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We stopped in on our way up the coast and were so glad we did. The French toast was amazing, the blood orange mimosa very tasty, The fried eggs cook perfectly and the corned Beef hash competed with the best I have ever had. We had a waitress in training and our service was excellent. we sat outside on the street on a wondrous morning. Seemed a bit loud inside if that bothers you, just wait for a seat outside. It will be worth it.

“No place better for a delicious and unpretentious brunch....!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

Consistently just what you"re in the mood for since hey have it all! It can be noisy and busy - if there are two or three in your party I do suggest going for seats at the bar between the door and the TV which is often too loud; but the food is terrific....

“Great for a special occasion”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

It was Wednesday night, around 7:30. The two of us waited approximately 20 minutes for a table. We had drinks from the bar while waiting (no seating while waiting, but it was OK for us).

Our drinks (good selection) came shortly after receiving our menus. The selection of fresh and local food was great. We both got specials and our food was served in a reasonable time and piping hot. We both enjoyed our dinner and had dessert and coffee. Service was attentive, but not hovering.

The restaurant is open to the kitchen and it is small, so it is somewhat loud and it was on the warm side. We knew this was possible and planned for it. It was not too loud or uncomfortably warm.

For everything, our dinner for two with drinks was $90. It was a special occasion dinner.

“Great for brunch”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

There was a 1/2 hour wait for a table which I'm told is to be expected on Sunday. The place is relatively small, but has a nice bar (ample room for about 10 on comfy stools at the bar). Two spots at the bar opened up right away and our wonderful brunch started on a high note: house infused habanero vodka bloody mary! A nice kick, but not overwhelming. Great local brews on tap (love the Maine Beer Co's Peeper Ale). And then there's the food! Awesome menu for veggies & meateaters alike. Standard comfort food like corned beef hash w/poached eggs (yum) and their specials are crazy good & fresh. Atmosphere, food & beverages make for a great brunch spot!
