Yes, we have a gazillion fabulous coffeehouses here in Portland, but this one is distinctive and there's more than one reason that you probably will want to stop in at some point. It's got a great location just across from the ferry terminal and the huge front windows are especially good for people-watching when a ferry's in town. The renovated warehouse space has a fun and funky vibe, cozified by the flames of the fireplace (except during our 2-month summer:). There's good music and attractive art to be leisurely enjoyed. And then--of course--there's the menu. I can't help you with coffee descriptions--I don't even drink the stuff! I can vouch that the chai latte is not the most flavorful, but all you have to do is avail yourself of the nutmeg or cinnamon shaker on the counter to spice it up a bit. The bagels are from Union Bagel, plus there's a tempting variety of fresh baked pastries and a few savory offerings as well. There's ample seating, including soft seat options by the fireplace. Lastly--good mix of friendly folks, and sometimes live piano music (check with them for schedule). Hope I've covered enough angles to help you decide if this is someplace you'd like to check out. Have a great visit!
