Description: Steve and Michelle Corry, the proprietors of Five Fifty-Five, arrived in Portland armed with a passionate vision and extensive experience in the restaurant industry. Steve began his culinary career as a brew master at several breweries in Northern California. In 1999, he attended the New England Culinary Institute in Burlington Vermont. After graduating in 2001, he returned to California to work at Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley. A graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration, Michelle Corry has worked at numerous prestigious establishments, including the French Laundry in Napa. Together, they have envisioned a dining experience that would combine a comfortable atmosphere, professional service, and fresh, simple, and delicious food sourced locally. Steve and Michelle Corry would like to welcome you to their first collaborative, Five Fifty-Five.

More rustic than I thought it'd be, but fantastic. Wine selection is fabulous. Chef is amazing. Fun dinner with interesting ingredients that blended to perfection.

My wife and I went to Five Fifty-Five and enjoyed the eight-course chef's tasting menu. What an amazing experience. Each dish had an amazing combination of of textures and flavors. The wine pairings complimented the character of each dish. Would highly recommend for a great couple's night out. Our server was very knowledgeable about each dish and was able to answer our questions effectively.

The restaurant squeezed us in on July Fourth and we greatly enjoyed the dinner. It was a wonderful dining experience. The food was fresh and perfectly prepared. The recipes inventive and the wines list extensive and well conceived. After 10 years, 555 offers elegant but low key dining.

Food quality and creativity were exceptional, as was the service. We sat upstairs (recommend this: quieter) and had a view of the open kitchen. It was a treat to watch the cook staff prepare the dishes with meticulous care. Don't miss 555!

Go in knowing it is expensive but if you are a foodie, its worth it. Interesting choice of food, well done and good service.
