Dry Dock is perfectly fine, it just doesn't stand out food wise. Size and appearance though attract you in. The menu was mostly fried or other non-diet friendly options.
My husband had the lobster roll, good but not outstanding. I had the Crabby Diane - similar to a tuna melt, only it was crab salad instead of tuna. It was ok, but needed salt, the crab had almost no flavor.

We really enjoyed visiting the Dry Dock Restaurant. We enjoyed the steamed clam, clam chowder, Maine blueberry pie, and some wonderful local craft beers. We had great service and enjoyed the outside seating on a nice Maine afternoon. We would definitely go back.

Ate inside, upstairs with a good view of the busy street. They have outside dining but when we were there it was damp and raining. Oysters delicious and very reasonably priced. Fish and chips average. Bloody Marys the best!

Needed a place to watch the baseball game and have a brew. Basic Fish and Chips and Lobster Soup was fairly good but a bit oily and too creamy. They have a really cool bank safe where they keep their beer and supplies. Thanks to Nancy for suggesting things to do in Portland.

we sat outdoors on the upper balcony overlooking the harbor.
the sounds of gulls and the boats only added to
the ambiance. Our waiter, kerry, was great.
would recommend dry dock.
