“A Different Kid of Place”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

We were her for dinner around 7 PM. You head towards the outdoor bar/dining area to place your order. Nice selection of seafood, but you're here for the lobster. About $50 per person for the steamed lobster and drink option. They give you a flashing plastic lobster that tells you when your order is ready for you to pickup.

You can't get on the list for a table from the hostess until you place your order. Your wait for a table will be about 15-20 minutes. Live music playing in a pretty crowded space.

After your seated outside in picnic table type arrangement, expect about 30 minutes for your plastic lobster to flash so you can go get your food.

The place is loud, casual and very friendly. The food was awesome.

If your looking for some great lobster and don't mind a hectic environment, this place is for you.

“Good Location”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

We ate here after purchasing a lobster on the Lucky Catch. This restaurant is just ok. It was very crowded and noisy. Seating was only available on the deck. The food was served on paper plates with plastic flatware. The lobster was cooked well but the rest of the food wasn't worth mentioning. It was perfect for having our fresh lobster cooked but otherwise we probably won't eat here again.

“Dog friendly, great views, good food”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 7-year olds) and our two big old dogs, a golden and a lab, recently took a vacation to Maine. We spent a day in Portland and took a lunch break at the Portland Lobster Company. Dogs are allowed outside on the deck. You have to find your own table and while it was crowded we were able to find a table in the shade. A few other people were there with dogs as well. All the other guests were very friendly and kind to our dogs (sometimes a little too friendly when our dogs were trying to rest but we understand people love dogs). My husband and I each had a crab cake sandwich and our children had chicken fingers. My kids were most excited by the light up lobsters that tell you your food is ready. I can't comment too much about the cuisine since we kept it simple but we enjoyed our lunch and you couldn't beat the location.
You do go up to order your food and bring it back yourself so there is no service outside. There is a bar outside.

“Outdoor seating”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 via mobile

All outdoor seating. Still a bit hungry after our $40 tab but worth sitting outside and the experience! And it gave us a chance to get crab cakes at the next place :)

“Good food but crowded seating”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

We stopped by a weekday prior to a cruise. I has scallops and wife had crab cakes. Food was outstanding along with onion rings. We used the outdoor seating. Caution, it can be rather crowded and seating is at a preium. Go enjoy. Just expect a small wait but good food.
