“Nice lunch, nice breakfast, nice price”

At the Crooked Mile you'll get excellent sandwiches, salads, cookies, muffins, and coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is quite friendly--even when the line grows and grows between 11:30 and 1 PM. I try to come here after 9 and before 11:30 if I want to have a quiet cup of coffee, but I've also enjoyed many lunches here during the peak hours.
Breakfast time is busy too. Most of the people who eat at the Crooked Mile work in the Portland area. The locals know all the lunch options, so I think it says something that they line up at noontime and often call in orders to feed entire offices. If you're visiting Portland, I encourage you to stop here. You'll have a nice lunch for a nice price. When friends of mine stay at the Portland Regency Hotel, I always tell them to go to the Crooked Mile for breakfast. However, the Crooked Mile, to my disappointment, is closed on weekends.

The Snickerdoodle Iced Latte was incredible, and there were many unique flavors of lattes. The iced tea was refreshing and the sandwiches were fresh! I would definitely recommend this place for drinks, and the lunch was very good too!

The Crooked Mile was the perfect place to stop for my family and I after searching for an inexpensive, delicious meal. The people are friendly and the food is made with love. Their sandwiches and salads are crisp and made fantastically which make a great pair to any one of their flavored iced teas. I recommend this to any newcomer to Portland as well as the permanent residents.

There's a reason The Crooked Mile is always packed: IT DOES EVERYTHING GREAT. Allow me to expound. The people who work there are warm and friendly and the place is equally warm and inviting and looks and feels EXACTLY as you would expect a breakfast and lunch spot to be. The hands-on owner Joe makes sure everything runs smoothly and you won't find a better QUALITY BREAKFAST AND LUNCH SPOT - AT BETTER PRICES - anywhere in town. From soups to salads to sandwiches - including specials - this is where the insiders go. For good reason.

Great coffee options; reasonable prices; fast service. The breakfast egg and cheese sandwich was almost a meal for two. Fresh bages with tasty vegetable cream cheese. Inviting but not crowded environment.
