Description: TO VIEW OUR CURRENT MENU, please visit our website. The Old Port Sea Grill, opened in the fall of 2002, is located in the heart of Portland's historic Old Port district. Our modern interior features a custom concrete bar, a large lounge area and a dining room that can accommodate up to 60 guests and features a 250 gallon salt water fish tank. Our seafood driven menu focuses on a variety of local and imported fresh fish and shellfish, with an emphasis on east coast cold water oysters and other raw bar offerings. We pair that with a food-friendly wine list, local craft-style beers on draft and an extensive cocktail program to make for an exciting dining experience.

My wife and I and our guest were pleased with the service and the food . My spouse had fish and chips. The serving was generous, the batter-fried fish was "croustillant" as we might say in French, crispy and light and the fish was harbor fresh. Too often I have had rubbery squid. This was not, Again the light batter highlighted the meal and the remoulade was as good as I remember from San Francisco. Our friend had roasted Salmon. He devoured it, but it seemed a bit overdone to me. AS usual my starters were oysters and they were as good as I have had. Ghe service was prompt and the waitress beautiful. We'll go back.

Reviewed June 12, 2013

Sad to say this was not a very good place to eat. Service was slow and the place was pretty much empty.......not sure what is up! Great location just less than great food! Tooo many other places that are amazing to go back there.

“Fresh but limtied”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Paid 2nd visit to this restaurant - same reaction as the first time - excellent, fresh seafood - strong service - great preparation - but limited selection. There is a good raw bar offering and good selection of appetizers, but I find the selection of entrees to be surprisingly limited - maybe a choice of only 5-6 seafood offerings along with one beef and one chicken. On a night when they had already exhausted their swordfish the selection was even more restricted. When we got to dessert, the selection was also numbered at 3. In contrast, a good wine and draft beer selection. Everything we had was excellent, prices are fair. But my request would be to try to expand the range of the menu.

“Sit by the window”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Great people watching out the front window, expecially when there's a cruise ship in port. We always go on our anniversary and chow down on seafood & white wine, from lunch into the late afternoon. Good food, try the oysters.

“Consistently pleasant”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We have been here many times, usually for lunch, and have never been disappointed. This visit we had oysters in the bar area for the first time. They were up to the quality standard we have come to expect.
