Portland has the "Good Fortune" to have an authentic Italian restaurant! Intimate, romantic atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food. We shared the Ribollita - traditional Tuscan tomato bread soup, one among several antipasti and primi course choices. We enjoyed the Cannelloni and pan-seared Gnocchi with Proscuitto and Peas - delectable! Save room for dessert, altogether a delightful evening, we can't wait to return.

We found this charming restaurant by asking a local resident where we could enjoy good Italian food. What we found was a great place and loved our experience. This is a small restaurant, quiet and very accommodating. The portions are very large. We are staying at a hotel and were not able to take leftovers with us. Consider sharing. Salads are yummy too. Wish we were here longer to come back.

Portland is a great place to find excellent restaurants. We were in town for a few nights and had made a reservations as recommended. We loved the atmosphere. Yes the tables were close but arranged so that one had some intimacy. There are only maybe 10-12 tables in the entire place. We requested a nice table and got the one next to the window. Great spot. The food is outstanding. We shared the antipasto and we were treated to some flavors and little bites that were really outstanding. I had the short ribs and it was the best I ever had. My wife had seafood over pasta. Great! We shared teramisu that was delicious. The meal was a two hour excursion into superb Italian cuisine. Our waitress was attentive. One of the best dining experiences we have had In Portland and that says it all. About $75 with wine. We will be back.

The place is pretty with white tablecloths. The salad special was delicious as was the seafood stew. Here the mains top out under $20--a great price. The Villa Pozzi Nero d'Avola was delicious. Service is friendly and professional. Go. You won't be disappointed.
