This is a small place just off the waterfront that specializes in Oysters -- about a dozen the day I visited. A counter, a few tables inside, and -- weather permitting -- some outside seating. Besides the oysters, innovative small plates, a nice wine and beer selection, and a friendly staff.

Get some oysters, clams, and a celery gimlet.

The oyster pen and ink drawings on the wall are wonderful, and we wish we had asked for the artist's name. Check 'em out!

One of the most awesome places to eat fresh steamed seafood. Multiple choices of items served in mouth watering sauces. Oysters, clam, mussels, lobster, crab. Make sure you have a reservation, seating is limited, but it is highly worth the effort.

but hey, they're raw, no culinary expertise required, right? We were down right disappointed. Oysters were very fresh and tasty, but that's true of Jay's and Old Port Oyster Bar. We ordered clam chowder and the fish as well. The clam chowder was very thin, nice flavor, but where are potatoes and minced clams??? We Mainers expect those in a chowder. Fish was really greasy, so we pulled off the batter and ate the small portion inside. Again, the flavor was good, but the execution was lacking. We left hungry and disappointed. Next time we'll eat lobster at home and save $70.00.
