Owner description: If you want to get up close and personal with Portland’s landmarks, lighthouses and harbor seals AND learn some city history, join Portland Discovery on a Land & Sea Tour! Start your day on board the Discovery trolley as you travel from city streets to rocky coast and make your way to Portland Head Light, Maine’s oldest and most photographed lighthouse! After a break for lunch and shopping in the Old Port, board a classic cruise boat for a 90-minute narrated harbor tour, where you’ll see 4 lighthouses up close, 3 Civil War forts and several of the inner bay islands, including Halfway Rock Ledge, home to many seals and seabirds.

We were two couples visiting Maine for the first time. We decided to take the two tours to see as much as possible. Not only did we enjoy our time with Annette and Marie as we waited for the tours to begin, we had Marie as our trolley driver. Unfortunately we reached the lighthouse just as the skies opened up,(we were last getting off because both of the men had canes). Marie volunteered her umbrella to us and we were able to get to the lighthouse. Thanks for a great tour. Our captain and his crew were also excellent at what they do...It was a great way to see as much as possible with not too much walking.

Took the 90-minute Portland City and Lighthouse trolley tour. Driver was entertaining and he provided a lot of interesting information on the Portland area. Nice way to see some of the parts of Portland that surround the marina but are too far to walk. Tour also stops for about 30 minutes at Portland Head Light, the lighthouse.

We chose the Land and Sea tour package. What a treat and a great way to get an overview of the area. The guide for each tour was excellent. Nice mix of facts and humor without "trying too hard." When the dense fog made the scheduled afternoon cruise less than enticing, this company made rescheduling for later in the week a breeze. In other words, excellent customer service! Highly recommend.

"Questionable Dave" was a very engaging trolley driver who showed us a lot of the historic buildings of Portland, but the highlight to me was the half hour visit to the Head Lighthouse. The views of the rocky coast, the park area, and the lighthouse was just fantastic.

Almost did one of the ferry line tours, but this was just perfect. 90 minutes long. Knowledgeable guide. Was still a little warm when we got started, but so perfect at the end. Casco Bay is just gorgeous. Had a great sunset too.
