Charming Inn in a new neighborhood for us. Spot on location to all enjoyable places in Portland. Unbeatable hospitality. We've found a new place to stay on visits to Portland. A charming, comfortable inn.

Cindy is an absolute doll, cheery and happy every morning to greet you for breakfast. The inn is in a quiet and peaceful location with well appointed rooms, big bathroom and comfortable bed. The food was outstanding, Cathy out-did herself every single morning we were there. Loved Portland and it was made a fantastic trip with this gem of a spot.

My husband and I finished up our honeymoon at the Inn on Carleton, and we can't wait to come back! Buddy, our host, has such a gift for hospitality. Our room was lush, and breakfast was a delight (which us saying something, as Portland won the 'Foodiest City in America' award in '09!). We will definitely be back!

My husband and I just spent this past weekend at the Inn on Carleton and had a fantastic time! The Inn was delightful, warm and inviting. We enjoyed meeing Buddy and Cindy. Staying with such wonderful people made our first experience in Portland, ME that much more enjoyable! Matter of fact, we have made plans to return to the Inn in the Spring. Our gourmet breakfasts every morning were exceptional! We feel that when you find the best your first time; there is no need to stay anywhere else! We are looking forward to revisiting the Inn and seeing Buddy and Cindy again!

From top to bottom, this was a wonderful experience. We expect no less from Buddy, having stayed at his other spot. The room was expertly and warmly appointed, as well as spotless. It felt like an oasis. The food? Superb. Ask Buddy if he has the coffee cake with vanilla sauce. But the most important thing is the Carleton feels like it is yours for as long as you're there. It is set in a nice West End neighborhood, convenient to town, and Buddy and Cindy do all they can to make sure you're comfortable.
