We stayed for 2 nights in the honeymoon suite for my birthday.
Pros
We were close enough to walk everywhere and never use the car.
Jacuzzi was amazing! It was located in bathroom but wall opened beside it into room so you were overlooking fireplace.
Shower was huge.
Private elevator to suite area
Staff was very nice. (except one)
Breakfast was wonderful...try the hash!
Chocolate lobsters part of turn down service.
Very helpful concierge.
Cons
We went out all day..back at 3pm and room still had not been cleaned.
Bed was only ok.
One staff person at desk was abrupt and seemed to not want to answer questions.

Overall would stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your review with us and the Trip Advisor community.
We value our guests feedback and do review with our staff and management the overall experience our guests provide us. We apologize that your room was made up later than you had preferred. We will prioritize cleaning vacant rooms to guaranty our 4 pm check in time, however, feel free to request that your room be addressed at a certain time, and our staff will make every effort to comply.

We agree that we are fortunate to be in such a central location in the heart of the Old Port. During inclement weather, our Valet staff will drive you via our Lincoln Town Car, to any local establishment.

We appreciate that you chose to stay with us and hope you allow us to serve you again in the future.

Warm Regards,

Brenda Goodwin

My girlfriend and I recently stayed here. It was a nice place, however nothing over the top. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was great. We enjoyed the table that was set up in the hallway each morning with Starbucks coffee. One downside is if you park there, you are forced to valet your car. I forget how much it costs, but it wasn't cheap.

Overall, it was a nice place, but we weren't blown away.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed a comfortable night sleep and our complimentary Starbucks coffee.
.
The city of Portland, like many others, offers very few choices in public parking. The fee of $18.00 per night to Valet park at our hotel is very comparable to the many businesses in the Old Port who also provide this service to their clientele. It is a welcome convenience especially during the peak season of Memorial Day through Labor Day.

We hope that you will return again in the future.

We have stayed here before, and always have a nice experience. This visit, our flight was cancelled and the management was incredibly helpful (Thanks, Ryan!) -- we were able to stay an extra night (helped that it was a Sunday - they are often booked weekend nights!) for a reduced rate and they arranged car transport to help us return our car to the airport and to return us to the airport the next day to reduce the cost, plus a car is not needed here in downtown Portland. They went above and beyond to assist us with this last minute change!

All staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are excellent. Free coffee is available on every floor in the morning - nice touch! And, local papers are delivered to the door in the morning. We love the interior patio and enjoyed breakfast there. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Many rooms have 1 Queen rather than King sized bed. Free wifi is available throughout the hotel. Valet parking underground does have a daily fee, but affordable. We love the location of this hotel because we are able to walk to many good restaurants and shopping in downtown Portland.

For a quieter room, request one on the interior of the hotel to reduce street noise. The first floor garden patio rooms are very nice, but there are not many and cost a bit more. You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: Interior court facing rooms are quieter. The first floor garden patio rooms open to the interior co...

We had an amazing stay at the Portland Harbor Hotel. We came in from Boston for a few day getaway right after our wedding. When they heard we were in town for our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a suite with a jacuzzi tub and even brought champagne and chocolate covered strawberries on the house. The staff was friendly and thoughtful throughout our stay. We ate at Eve's, the hotel restaurant, a couple of times and it was excellent. Centrally located and really perfect!!!!

What a wonderful hotel. The rooms are very clean and nice. It is right near the waterfront and located near all the little shops, restaurants and pubs. I was only able to stay 1 night, but I would love to go back and stay longer next time. The staff is very courteous and helpful. There is a small restaurant and bar in the hotel. There is a garage and valet service to park your car which I did. There was no need to drive since everything was within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel.

Thank you very much for this 5 star review. We are fortunate to have a great location in the Old Port district. We hope that you can stay longer the next time you visit the Portland area as well. It's a beautiful time of the year to enjoy Eve's on the Garden in our courtyard too !

Visited for 2 nights with my daughter to evaluate for a future business conference. The entire staff was extremely responsive, the food very good, and services perfect. We forgot a coat there. They found it, called us and shipped it right back. I got excellent help and advice on restaurants and activities for our group. My experience was more than satisfactory.

Room Tip: You'll find fresh coffee and a selection of teas at the end of each hallway in the morning. A ni...

Thank you so much for your kind 5 Star review of The Portland Harbor Hotel. We agree that offering complimentary fresh brewed Starbucks coffee on every guest room floor, is far superior than the typical in-room coffee maker. We are glad that you appreciated this as well.
Please reach out to myself, or our Director of Sales; Linda Prescott for any group and conference needs you may have.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Again, just checked in, in calling I asked if they had all cotton sheets. Obviously if I asked I reAlly care. The small pillow on the bed is all cotton but sheets I don't think so, should have brought my own pillow. The pillowcases areso rough. This is a nice, very nice hotel, the sheets are just extremely sub standard for the class of this hotel.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the linen quality. We apologize that we did not meet your expectation in this area and want you to know that we do take every guest comment to heart.
We are fortunate that we have the facilities on site to launder our own linen and will discuss your concerns with our housekeeping management team to ensure 100% quality.
