“Portland Perfection”

This was our second visit to the PHH. It was even better than the first. From driving into the garage to registering to a couple of superb, innovative breakfasts the friendly, can't-do-enough-for-you staff made a pleasant experience into something memorable.

Room Tip: The double rooms ending in -25 are slightly smaller, with a corner cut out to accomodate the interio...

The PHH is by far the most luxurious hotel in Portland. The staff there will treat you like a king. It was a wonderful experience to stay right in the center of the downtown area. All of the rooms are re-done completely, but still have a homey, cozy feel to them. My boyfriend travels all the time for work, and he says that the king size bed we stayed in was the most comfortable bed he has ever slept in. The valet service is amazing and the staff is super friendly. We went on a day trip (yes, a day trip) up to Acadia National Park on a 100 degree day, and upon return to the hotel, the valet offered us bottled water. It was great!!

We're glad to hear you had such a good time at our hotel and in Maine. Clearly your trip was packed with fun, not very many people head to Acadia on a day trip. The water on such a hot day was the least we could do!

First time visit to Maine over 4th of July weekend. Booked 1st night at the Portland Harbor Hotel with the help of AAA Carolinas. Beautiful facility...great room... wonderful service from the moment we arrived...great location near the wharf and the cobblestoned areas!!!

Ate at J's Oyster Bar at the recommendation of the Hotel Staff. Best lobster stew imaginable!! Great locals place. We went back on the last night of our trip!!

As we were leaving, the Concierge suggested we eat lunch in Wiscasset at Red's Eats. This roadside stand is a must for the world's best lobster rolls (and homemade Whoopi Pies)!!!

Stay here!! We were in Portland 24 hours and these people made the stay unbelievably memorable. It was clean, and well-appointed. We generally avoid hotel food and beverage like the plague since it's usually overpriced and dull, but the restaurant and bar in the hotel were honestly terrific with a very innovative menu for every meal!! The concierge enabled a "one-of-a-kind" foodie dining experience at a local restaurant for dinner. The whole stay was romantic, easy, and fun. THANK YOU!!

Room Tip: We had a quieter room without a city view, but in hindsight, I might have chosen a room with a view...

We loved our stay at Portland Harbor Hotel. The hotel was so nice. They turned down our bed while we were out to dinner and left chocolate lobsters and slippers for us. My daughter loved them both. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this centrally located hotel! It was walking distance to Lucky Catch which I would recommend doing and great seafood restaurants.

This boutique hotel is centrally located in the Old Port district. Room 102 was a first level courtyard view accommodation commanding a price of $309.22 inclusive of taxes. Valet parking is an additional charge of $16.00 per diem. The room was furnished with a king bed, night stands, armoire, desk/chair and a living room chair with ottoman. The bathroom vanity top was granite and fixtured with a single basin sink. The other fixtures were a soaking tub and glass enclosed walk-in shower. A complete range of toiletries is available for your use. A small patio overlooking the courtyard finished the accommodation. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel’s centerpiece is its interior courtyard garden. It is beautifully landscaped and finished with a fountain. Tables for al fresco dining are interspersed throughout the courtyard. The hotel’s dining room and lounge overlook the courtyard.
There is one serious drawback of temporary duration. The lower level of the building is a construction zone. The jack hammer starts at 8:00 AM and goes through the day. Request a room that is away from this distraction.
The hotel staff is personable. On checking out, the clerk inquired about my stay. I said it was great, other than the jack hammer. He immediately credited my account $50.00 because of the inconvenience caused by the construction.
The construction aside, the Portland Harbor Hotel is a quality place to stay.
