This classic B&B was the perfect blend of beauty, service, charm and solitude. You would think that you were the only ones here, if not for the wonderful breakfast spread that awaits you in the morning.
The rooms are charming, spacious, clean and private. The house itself is just off of the main street. It is a 5 minute walk to the Maine Museam of Art, 10 Minutes to Civic Center and another 5 minutes to Street & Company, the amazing seafood restaraunt on Wharf Street.
Spend a few days here. You will not be dissapointed. Little hospitalities abound; from the board games provided, to the scented candles; from free soft drinks to hersey kisses by your bed; from a huge selection of dvd's to borrow for your viewing pleasure to an umbrella to keep you dry on a rainy night.
It was, quite simply, a flawless display of hospitality.
We will return, frequently.....
One thing though, only book a third floor room if you are certain that you can bring your luggage up and down a very steep and narrow stair case. I am athletic and it was perilous at times.
