Owner description: Wine and food pairing education at it's best! Choose from our highly rated Wine (and food) Walks in Portland, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Ogunquit, Maine where you'll taste delicious wines with paired fresh fare at a series of great restaurants. Or our Wine Sails in Portland's Casco Bay or Camden's Penobscot Bay and enjoy scenic views of Maine lighthouses, waterways and islands while indulging in a wine class on board a beautiful Windjammer. You'll walk away with a better understanding of wine, gain tips for pairing with food, and how to describe what you smell and taste. Plan to have a great experience and learn a lot about wine.

A perfect way to cruise the Portland Harbor! Erica served 4 delicious wines. She shared interesting knowledge on how to distinguish good wine from bad. I highly recommend this excursion!

We had a great 10 year anniversary celebration! I am looking forward to doing a restaurant wine pairing. I learned a TON!

After enjoying Wine Wise's fantastic 'Mineral-Driven Whites & Fresh Shucked Oysters' cruise aboard the topsail sloop Francis, my husband and I arranged for Erica to conduct a tasting at our home during a family reunion. In addition to introducing us to a variety of Nebbiolos, Erica provided a delicious spread of cheeses, pates, bread, and olives. All eleven participants had a great time and came away with an increased appreciation for wine and an improved understanding of how to evaluate what they are drinking. Highly recommend both Wine Wise group events and private parties!

Imagine sailing on a "Cutter" on Casco Bay while enjoying delicious food, great company, good wine and learning about pairing wines with foods! Erica was delightful, the Chef, Tim Pierre Labente, and his cuisine incredible and the captain and crew of the Frances very friendly. Cheers!
P.S. You can find the Chef at the Portland Harbor Hotel

A beautiful boat with a beautiful captain and crew in a beautiful bay. Superb wines with an excellent teacher skilled in all group dynamics and very knowledgeable without being condescending: A great sommelier and even better hostess.

The Chef from Portland Harbor Hotel outdid himself and anyone else on the planet for lobster finger food packaged in the world's great cuisine's--spring rolls, bruscetta, and ceviche. The experience--by the second bottle--is one fun party.

By the way, the passengers were all fun and friendly too. If you are a crab, this is not for you--unless you're on the menu. While this might be the best buy on water for foodies in Maine, it is definitely not for children including teenagers or the disabled. Although there is seating, we did have to stand during the cruise--which was not at all unpleasant and allowed us to mingle with our fellow travelers.
